Race 1
(9) RG’S SHOGUN scored a maiden-breaking victory impressively last out. The 5-year-old has some upside for new connections. (6) DYNAMITE STICK shows improvement in two straight; threat. (5) KIDD LIONIDAS has yet to win in his career but does get sent out for a capable barn.
Race 2
(2) PINE ROCK owns a win at this level two back and will be on the lead or in the pocket. (4) CATERA GUN gets sent out for a low percentage driver and will offer low value; use caution. (6) I’M DONE TALKING showed a decent burst of speed against similar last start.
Race 3
(6) SONG OF THE VALLEY was solid in the qualifier two back. If the trotting mare puts in that type of effort she can score. (1) NORTH BAY HANOVER looks the best on paper but only owns one win in two years; command a price. (3) OVERWHAT picks up a positive driver change down in class.
Race 4
(4) HARVARD’S Z TAM shows some really nice efforts against better. (1) MCCOVEY is 0 for the year but gets the best post against a suspect bunch. (2) ABERARDER MAX just raced evenly last week but could sneak on the bottom of the ticket with a good setup.
Race 5
(5) NOAH COUNT gets a better post against softer. The 6-year-old should be much closer turning for home. (8) VAYA CON DIOS would be the top choice with a better starting post. (2) T P MAXIMUS looks to be in line for a ground-saving trip.
Race 6
(9) MCLEGEND might offer the better price of the contenders. (2) FINAL CHAMPION will look to make it three straight wins at this level; short price. (4) GETONMYBIKENRIDE hit the board last week showing some interest late in the mile.
Race 7
(3) J-S FOR JUSTICE adds first time Lasix with a much better starting post. If the 4-year-old can make the top he will be tough to pass. (2) TIMELESS UTAH is starting to put it all together. The 4-year-old is a threat if he stays trotting. (1) LITTLE BIG RIGS is a lightly raced 3-year-old that owns multiple wins over the track and gets the best starting post.
Race 8
(5) SJ’S BLISSFUL GUY just missed at this level a few starts back and looks to offer a big price. (6) WIT AND WISDOM needs a good setup to have a chance to sweep past late. (9) EVERY PLAY COUNTS is probably the horse to beat but could be in line for a tough trip from the second tier.
Race 9
(2) MORELAND FLASH has just been racing evenly but is capable of pacing a big mile from time to time. (3) TWIN B HOLLISTER just missed two back at this level. (1) PRINCE PONDER gets the best post dropping down in class with a huge driver change.
Race 10
In a very competitive race, (7) SUPER LILY is up against it from the outside but has really blossomed into a nice trotter. The 4-year-old will offer a square price and can score with a trouble-free trip. (5) BUCKEY PATTY will look to make it three straight; threat. (2) JAYPORT ALL MUSCLE is a well bred trotter that was an easy winner down in class last out.
Race 11
In another tough race to gauge, (7) UBETTERUBETTERUBET picks up a positive driver change down in class. (6) OK GALAHAD shows some competitive lines against tougher; threat. (5) ROCKIN INDY also picks up a top driver for a hot barn; short price.
Race 12
(1) HOORAYFORVACATION will look to make it two straight for new connections. (3) SWEET ADELINE scored a dominating victory down in class last week; fires early. (2) SNEAKY SAM is very inconsistent from week to week but a good effort puts him in the mix.
Race 13
(2) YOLO HANOVER is a well bred pacer that will look to drop and pop down in class. (1) ONEMORELASTCHANCE burned cash in this same scenario last week; command a price. (6) THISONEANDONEMORE put in a big effort just missing going wire to wire last week.
Race 14
(9) WITHOUT ME AS has been racing gamely against better. (1) MAKIN GREEN LAVEC just raced evenly last start and will offer low value; use caution. (4) TOES picks up a top driver and shows a good burst of speed.
Race 15
(9) IDBEGOODATTHAT has room to improve first start in a new barn. (2) MODEL NINETYFOUR did not race well last week while failing to hit the board as the favorite. The pacer is one of the faster horses in the race but needs a better effort. (4) MANTACULATER might be able to score a piece at a price with a good setup.
Race 16
(2) NASHVILLE BOUND picks up a huge driver change while double dropping in class. (3) RUSTY’S NO FOOL shows good efforts against better; threat. (1) GOTTA LAUGH AGAIN has yet to win on the year but should be in the mix for a piece underneath.
