(2) SON OF SONA trotted a nice last quarter finishing a solid second at this level last out. (1) EAST LAKER is 0 for 26 lifetime but does draw the rail first out for a new barn. (3) STRIKING TURBO looks to offer low value off a miscue; use caution.
Race 2 - Gin Blossom Series NW2/15000 Lifetime
(5) YES almost set the track record last week drawing off to a new life mark. (1) HALL N BRO might get to sit on the favorite’s back but is probably best used underneath. (4) TCS’S BEST owns good ability for capable trotting connections. (3) ALAN showed good improvement last week.
Race 3 - Guns N Roses Series FM NW2/15000 Lifetime
(7) TT’S EBONY just missed beating a nice opponent last start. A repeat of that effort makes her the horse to beat. (3) COCO HALL has shown improvement for the new trainer. (4) FRONTIER CREEDA has been facing slightly tougher but could need a start over the track. (2) IT’S MY PARTY is an impeccably bred filly that has some upside racing against a field full of question marks.
Race 4 - NW1/10000 Lifetime/7500 Claimer
(3) COFFEE HOUSE raced really well first start off the layoff. (7) LITTLE BIG looks to make it two straight for a hot barn. (4) VINECANCRUISE adds second time Lasix off a nice closing effort. (5) UFEDLIKESTRUMP has been competitive against similar.
Race 5 - NW1/10000 Lifetime/AE NW2/15000 Lifetime/10000 Claimer
(2) COOPER was super in the qualifier. The well-bred 6-year-old might offer the best price of the contenders. (8) KEVIN’S NOT HERE is the morning line favorite, but he may have his work cut out for him starting from the far outside. (9) MAJESTY BOY adds first time Lasix against slightly softer. (4) AMERICANLEAGUE fits in with this bunch with a good setup.
Race 6 - NW1/7500 Lifetime
(5) ROCKIN CALI closed a ton of ground from far back last week at this level. (3) SPORTS BET gets sent out first start for a hot barn with a top driver. (4) SHABANG has just been racing evenly; command a price. (1) BEARCREEKCLAW benefits from the best post but would need more.
Race 7 - NW2/20000 Lifetime/AE NW3/30000 Lifetime/15000 Claimer – $10k GTD Pick 4
(3) B FLUFFINOVER should offer a big price and has hit the board in three straight. (1) CUPCAKE BOSS will be closer turning for home this week against softer. (2) MAN THE KEG can trot with this bunch with a trouble-free trip. (9) TT’S D-JAY has been competitive against better on the year.
Race 8 - NW1/10000 Lifetime/7500 Claimer
(1) DESIRABLE LOU will look to make it two straight wire-to-wire wins at this level; short price. (9) MAKE THE BOOKS might be handy enough to get a good early spot behind the top choice. (7) METALICANA might have a shot to hit the ticket at a price with fast fractions up front. (5) SWEETEST PET seems to have trouble getting early position in the race. The 3-year-old would need a lot of racing luck to pick up the pieces.
Race 9 - Gin Blossom Series NW2/15000 Lifetime
(5) WESTFIFTYSECOND dominated similar last week drawing off. (1) LUCKY OVER ANDOVER owns ability and just needs to stay trotting for a piece. (2) MONKEY’S UNCLE might be starting to figure it out after trotting a personal best last week. (3) BOSLEY looks to have some of the kinks worked out after a rough start to the year.
Race 10 -NW1500L4
(8) JOES ON A ROLL is 0 for the year but drops down a notch and has been competitive against much tougher in recent. (5) ACE OF SHARKS faces slightly weaker off two decent efforts for a new barn. (2) HILLBILLY HANOVER is the heavy morning line favorite and he might be rounding into form, but I wouldn’t take a short price to find out. (1) UBETTERUBETTERUBET gets sent out for a low percentage pilot; use underneath.
Race 11 - NW1500L4 - $10k GTD Pick 4
(5) EARL’S SPEEDER might be the sleeper in the race coming off the bench. The 7-year-old looks ready just tiring a bit late in the qualifier. (1) TEAM ZORDIN will be in line for a much easier trip this week. (8) SUPER ROCK is one of the fastest trotter’s in the field but needs to find a way into the race. (9) THANKS FOR PLAYIN raced well three back.
Race 12 - NW4/30000 Lifetime/AE NW6/40000 Lifetime/20000 Claimer
(4) MUSIC TEACHER has been tremendous in two straight; big chance. (1) EVAN HANOVER owns a good burst of speed starting from the best post. (9) MORPHEUS shows good efforts against similar. (3) ANASTASIA GEM is 0 for the year; use underneath.
Race 13 - NW7500L4 - $10K GTD Hi5
(6) FULL CODE takes a significant drop in class picking up a big driver change. (1) TSM LEONIDAS needed the start last week and has room to improve against softer. (7) HONEEMOON SUITE might be able to pace with this bunch off a good qualifier. (9) ODIN BLUE CHIP shows a win against similar on the year.
Race 14 - NW2750L4
(6) QUEEN’S RIPSNORT will offer a much better price this week; threat. (4) AT MY REQUEST is very inconsistent but a good effort puts him in the mix. (9) COWBOY COUNTRY shows breaks in two of four. If the gelding minds his manners, he can compete with this bunch. (1) MOONTAN had some late trot at this level last week and should be closer turning for home.
Race 15 - NW1/10000 Lifetime/AE NW2/15000 Lifetime/10000 Claimer
(3) RIDE CAPTAIN RIDE is an impeccably bred pacer that is one of few in the race that’s flashed a decent burst of speed. (2) MAJORITY WINS TWO throws in a good effort at this level from time to time. The four-year-old always offers a big price. (5) MR JUDGE has room to improve second start out for a new barn. (6) DRAGON PURPLECHIPS might fit in with this bunch with fast fractions to close into.
Race 16 - NW750L4
(4) CHAD wasn’t that far from the morning line favorite in his qualifier and will offer a good price. (5) BEND IN THE RIVER was full of late trot in the qualifier last week. (9) REHAB MOUNTAIN owns good back class and might be ready for an improved effort third start back off the long layoff. (2) DISTORTED DREAM shows a good effort over the track a few months back but has just been racing evenly; use caution.
