(2) CW HOME BOY showed a big burst of speed last week against similar. (1) EAST LAKER draws the best post in a weak field full of question marks. (5) TWO DAYS BUSTED gelding finished a solid second at this level in his last start.
Race 2
(9) SOUTHERN SAGE could offer the best price of the contenders. The 4-year-old pacer just needs a trouble-free trip to be close. (4) MAX DEAL lightly raced 3-year-old has lots of room to improve in his second start back off the long layoff. (6) SLEEPIN IN THE SUN could be closer turning for home this week and will offer a big price.
Race 3
(2) STAR CAVIAR has been competitive against similar and should get a decent trip up close. (1) HARRY CARRY gelding can go a long way if he stays trotting. (6) HUDSON VALLEY impeccably bred trotter stayed flat in the qualifier and is one of few in the race with some upside.
Race 4
(9) BALLISTIC TIP can sweep past late with a good setup. (6) JET AIRLINER looks like the horse to beat dropping down but has just been racing evenly; use caution. (2) GET ROCKIN was close against better three back.
Race 5
(3) PETER'S DREAM jumped up with a big effort last week drawing off. A repeat of that effort probably makes it two straight. (6) FRANK THE FISH has shown good improvement over his last five starts; driver's choice. (8) RATTLING PINE also scored a nice win last week but needs to find a way into the race.
Race 6
(1) DEO'S PERFECT SOUND keeps a top driver and should be ready for an improved effort third start back. (7) MAJORITY WINS TWO just missed last week against similar. (4) GOOD GOOD GUY takes a significant drop down against weaker.
Race 7
(2) STORMIN AT DAWN could be in line for a good trip on the lead or in the pocket. (1) SECRET TRAINER has disappointed since the second qualifier. The six-year-old gelding might be able to turn it around one of these weeks. (3) MORPHEUS shows a win at this level and picks back up the top driver.
Race 8
(6) VALIENTE STRIDE should benefit from the drop in competition. (2) BETTOR'S DREAM picks up the top driver with a good starting post. (1) MACONUPWITHEDRAGON looks to be in line for a ground-saving trip; use underneath.
Race 9
In a very weak field, (1) AMERICANGENERATION just needs to find the front end. (6) STORMY DUDE drops down to the bottom level. (8) MAJOR COUNT needs a lot of racing luck but is one of the faster trotters in the field when ready.
Race 10
(4) MR THREE QUARTERS never got into the race last week but was close at this level the start prior. (3) VICIOUS ALOICIOUS gelding needs a fast pace to close into for his best chance. (2) ALLIE'S CRUISER shows a win against better on the year.
Race 11
(1) THE THUNDER ROLLS has looked really good in two straight; short price. (5) BIG BAD MONSTER might be the only threat to the top choice. (6) RIDE CAPTAIN RIDE picks up the top driver and will offer a big price.
Race 12
(1) ONE LUCKY DRAGON takes a huge drop down with the best starting post. (2) MONTERO BLUE CHIP just missed last week racing gamely. (5) MARADONA is another dropper in the race capable with some racing luck.
Race 13
(7) KATKIN AND COKE shows competitive efforts against much tougher on the year. (1) NEYMAR owns a decent closing move and draws the rail. (4) DISTORTED DREAM drops down a notch picking up the top driver.
Race 14
(2) CAMS FERNANDO has hit the board in two of three starts. (1) OK GERONIMO fits in with this group; threat. (4) THAT'S SOME PLAN paced a decent mile last week against a slightly better bunch.
Race 15
(4) UNPERSUADABLE showed a big burst off the gate last week before making a break. If the nice-looking trotting mare can mind her manners she can hit the ticket at a huge price. (2) BANKER TWENTYFIVE four-year-old stallion just missed at this level two back. (3) GREAT ELIMINATOR trotter can threaten with a good effort.
Race 16
(2) RYCROFT N will be tough to keep off the top two spots taking a significant drop down. (9) CALVIN K well bred five-year-old gelding can give the top choice all he can handle if he makes the front early. (1) ZOOM ON ROMEO flashed a good closing move last week at this level.
