Race 2 – NW4000L4
(3) TSUNAMI SEELSTER needed the start last out and now draws inside. (2) LION IMAGE gets sent out for top connections; short price. (1) TARTUFO LINDY should be in line for a great trip up close. (5) GRANA PADANNO is probably the most talented in the race but has been racing inconsistently in recent.
Race 3 – NW3/30000 Lifetime/15000 Claimer
(7) CHANCE TO SEE has burned cash in three straight at this level, however the pacer finds a softer spot and will likely offer better value this week. (6) SAINT GEORGE P is a major player against this bunch with an ideal setup. (5) THUNDERING JIM has room to improve second start out for a new trainer off the claim. (1) HOLDEN STEADY draws inside but is probably best used underneath.
Race 4 – NW2750L4 / AE 6000 Claimer
(3) MARTY DE VIE will look to drop and pop down in class. (6) QUEENS LONELY EARL just needs a better setup this week to hit the ticket for a hot barn. (7) CALLIE MAGOO veteran trotter has been a winning machine in recent and will offer a big price. (8) TROTTING Z TAM probably needs another start but does own ability.
Race 5 – NW1500L4
(5) LUCKY OVER ANDOVER well-bred stallion doesn’t look the best on paper but is the most talented in the field when right. (2) CRAZY SMART was solid two back against similar. (1) CINNAMON DUNN could show improvement adding second-time Lasix starting from the rail. (3) SNEAKY SAM faces weaker picking up a top driver.
Race 6 – NW750L4
(1) CAUSWAY drops down to the bottom level. (4) PISTOPACKINPIPER takes a significant drop in class against weaker. (5) FUSION FIVE has been competitive against better in recent. (6) WESTERN COBY needs to find a way to get involved but could pick up the pieces in the right scenario.
Race 7 - NW1500L4– **$10k GTD Pick 4**
(2) PLAY IT AGAIN SAM finds a soft spot to start the new year off right. (5) UBETTERUBETTERUBET morning line favorite picks up a top driver but rarely wins; use caution. (4) ONEISALONELYNUMBER should be in the mix with a good setup. (3) SILVER SPIR had some sneaky late pace last week at this level.
Race 8 – 6000 Claimer
(9) HARDTS OR BETTOR gets sent out for top connections and has hit the board in four straight. (1) GROOMED will look to make it three straight wins against slightly tougher. (2) SMILING TERROR bumps up a notch off a win against easier. (3) HEADFORTHEBEACH should be closer turning for home this week.
Race 9 - NW1500L4
(1) SHEER ACTION takes a big drop in competition and might offer the best price of the contenders. (2) MAN THE KEG just missed at this level a few back. (5) MIKES MAJESTIC is more than capable against this bunch with a good effort. (6) PEMBROKE MORGAN morning-line favorite failed to win a race last year and will have his work cut out for him starting from the outside.
Race 10 – NW2000L4 5000 Claimer
(2) SOME POWER well-bred pacer draws a good post down in class. (1) SPORTS TALE morning line favorite picks up a top driver second start out for a new barn. (3) WATERSIDE CHAMP finished a solid second at this level last out. (9) HOT SHOT HILL raced well last week but rarely wins; use underneath.
Race 11 – NW4000L4- **$10k GTD Pick 4**
(2) MATTAMERICAN was the top driver’s choice and will be much closer turning for home this week. (1) TWIN B STINGRAY has been competitive against better in recent. (3) DANCE LIFE WELL is fast enough to compete with this bunch; threat. (8) BOOGIE NIGHTS would have been rated much higher with a better post.
Race 12 - NW6/40000 Lifetime/ 20000 Claimer
(6) TONY TOO TALL pacer gets a post edge on his main rival; fires early. (5) MCDAGGAR has been knocking on the door against this bunch but will be at the mercy of the pace and trip. (7) SOUTHSIDE KID will need much more starting from the outside. (1) OUT WIT benefits from the best post; use underneath.
Race 13 – NW2/20000 Lifetime / AE NW3/ 30000/ 15000 Claimer Lifetime- **$10K GTD HI5**
(8) ARNOLD’S KING PIN just missed at this level last week racing gamely from far back. (2) RIDE CAPTAIN RIDE gets a huge post edge on the top choice and also had good late pace last out. (9) GOOD TIDINGS has been competitive in two of three at this level for new connections. (3) I’M HUNGOVER picks up a huge driver change.
Race 14 – NW4/30000 Lifetime / AE NW6/40000 Lifetime/ 20000 Claimer
(1) SHYTOWN SHADOW faces tougher but has been tremendous for the hot barn in two straight. (9) REDWOODS HANOVER might be one of few threats in the race should the top choice falter. (2) BOURBON BILLY should be in line for a ground-saving trip up close. (5) ITSNOTME ITSMEN finished second to the top choice last week; use underneath.
Race 15 – NW2750L4
(1) WINBAK WILLY T will look to drop and pop down in class. (4) MILLIRON PETE veteran pacer owns tons of back class and probably has more to offer this week bumping up a notch. (9) SIPPIN ON SUDS has been racing gamely and will offer a big price. (2) MAX HANOVER is also dropping down a notch and draws inside; use underneath.
