It was a banner night for first-crop sire Ready For Moni as his progeny won all three $50,000 Ohio Sires Stakes divisions for 2-year-old colt and gelding trotters on Wednesday at MGM Northfield Park. Race favorite Rose Run Boom (Brett Miller) went to the front in the early stages in the first grouping but made a break before the 29 3/5 quarter, handing the lead to Water Slide (Aaron Merriman). Once he had control, Water Slide kept it through a half in 59 4/5 and a three-quarters in 1:29 on his way to a 1 1/4 length victory in 1:58 1/5, defeating a gaining Eleven Bang Bang (Trevor Smith) and first-over challenger Bitcoin King (Tyler Smith). Water Slide, a gelding bred by Winbak Farm, is co-owned by trainer Chris Beaver in partnership with Michael Carter, Barry Carter and Vip Internet Stable LLC. Water Slide broke his maiden in his fourth chance, has now earned $38,580 and paid $7.40 to win. In the next flight Max The Mighty (Merriman) cut fractions of 29 1/5, 59 1/5 and 1:28, but 1-5 favorite Ready Russell (Dan Noble) stalked him all the way from the pocket and then swung to the outside on the final bend. After a brief battle, Ready Russell hit the front before they entered the lane and then drew off with every stride to the wire, downing Max The Mighty by 4 3/4 lengths in a 1:56 4/5 mile. Pump Action (Justin Irvine) collected third. Deb Swartz trains the victorious Midland Acres-bred gelding for owners Jeff Fought Racing, Brian Carsey and David Fought. Ready Russell has won all three of his starts thus far, has pocketed $56,000 and returned $2.40 to win. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter 17-1 shot Ur Ride Is Here (Brady Brown) gunned to the point in the last split and hit the quarter in 28 4/5 and the half in 59 2/5 as Special Moni (Tyler Smith) got going first-up from third and was tracked by heavy favorite Rose Run Banker (Chris Page), though Rose Run Banker struggled on the third turn. Special Moni made steady gains on the rim, but Ur Ride Is Here kept the top spot at the 1:28 2/5 three-quarters and around the far turn as Rose Run Banker once again had difficulty on the bend before he hit a better gear in the lane.  Ur Ride Is Here tried to seal the deal in the stretch, but Special Moni was able to wear him down and then held off a surging Rose Run Banker by a nose in a 1:58 3/5 performance. Ur Ride Is Here did salvage third over Emerald Tom (Anthony MacDonald). Special Moni is another gelding bred by Midland Acres and gave Beaver his second Ohio Sires Stakes winner as well. Beaver co-owns Special Moni, who won for the first time in his second start and has now put away $25,000, with Spaaaartners and Tim Homan. He paid $28.80 to win.
