Northfield: Prewitt and Otten to join broadcast team for Milstein night
Gabe Prewitt and Jessica Otten, who both provide commentary for Fox Sports broadcasts of harness racing on America's Day at the Races, will join Michael Carter on the broadcast at MGM Northfield Park on Saturday (August 10).
Saturday's program, which gets underway at 6 p.m., will feature the $300,000 Carl Milstein Memorial for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers, the $100,000 Courageous Lady Stakes for 3-year-old filly pacers, the $100,000 Myron Charna President's Pace for Ohio sired 4-year-old and up pacers, and the $100,000 Tom Aldrich President's Trot for Ohio sired 4-year-old and up trotters.
The trio will provide analysis and pre/post-race interviews throughout the entire 15-race program that features an all-stakes $25,000 guaranteed $1 Pick-4 beginning in race 8, a $10,000 guaranteed $1 Pick-4 beginning in race 11, and a $10,000 promised 20-cent Super High 5 in race 13.
Carl Milstein Memorial Night will feature a commemorative hat giveaway for the first 1,000 guests from 6 to 9 p.m. The night also features multiple promotions for guests on-site, a buffet in Lady Luck's Clubhouse for $27.95 and Summerfest Grille Tent and Crooked Kettle Popcorn on the track apron. Nine is fine for Merriman
North America's leading dash champion, Aaron Merriman, put up some big numbers on Sunday (August 4) at MGM Northfield Park, with nine victories on the 15-race program.
Merriman who began driving in 1997 is working on his tenth national dash championship.
The 50-cent Pick-6 remained uncovered on Sunday for a third night, creating a carryover of $4,862.23 for bettors to swing at in Monday's (August 5) eighth race.
Live racing resumes at MGM Northfield Park on Monday at 6 p.m.
