Northfield Park welcomed the Ohio Sires Stakes for 3-year-old trotting colts on Monday, and Northmedo Mission and Get The Cash went home with the victories.

In the first $50,000 division it would be Pass The Vape (Derek Watiker) in the lead through fractions of 27 3/5, 57, and 1:25 4/5, with Northmedo Mission (Aaron Merriman) stalking him from the pocket. With 1-2 favorite Two O B Wonkenobi (Sam Widger) retreating from first-over before three-quarters, Pass The Vape and Northmedo Mission were in a race by themselves in the lane, and Northmedo Mission would overhaul the leader, then trot away, winning by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:55. Dontforgetmaster (Dan Noble) came off the dull cover from second-over and got up for third.

Mike Medors trains the victorious Manofmanymissions gelding for owner/breeder Northmedo Stable. This was his eighth career victory, and he has now earned $74,028. He was sent off at 4-1 and paid $10.40 to win.

Mission Accepted (Ryan Stahl) was returning to the Buckeye State in the second split after a win in his elimination and a sixth in the final of the Beal Memorial at Pocono, but the 1-2 public choice was off-stride before the start and finished last. That left the door open for 2-1 second choice Get The Cash (Greg Grismore), and he took advantage, winning in 1:54 4/5.

After yielding to Uncle Buck (Merriman) going to the 28 3/5 opening quarter, Grismore brought Get The Cash back to the outside to get the lead, and he would go on to hit the half in 58 and the three-quarters in 1:26 2/5, giving the cold shoulder to first-up challenger Dance Withsomebody (Robin Miller). Get The Cash got separation on the field past three-quarters and around the far turn, and he cruised home to win by 5 1/2 lengths over Uncle Buck, with Dance Withsomebody holding third.

Get The Cash, a gelding by Cash Hall, is trained by Kelly O'Donnell for owners Mark Maynard, Joe Palatas, and K O Racing Stables Inc. Get The Cash is now a seven-time winner in his life, and he pushed his bankroll to $98,340. He returned $6.60 to win.
