The 2020 Ohio Sires Stakes season came to a close on Saturday night, Oct. 17, as eight $75,000 Consolation divisions for 2- and 3-year-olds were contested at Northfield Park.

Katie's Lucky Day, the 7-5 favorite, captured the 2-year-old filly trot easily in 1:56 2/5 for trainer-owner Bill Cottongim. The daughter of Uncle Peter-Europass-Andover Hall upped her career earnings to $74,479 with this triumph, the sixth of her career in 12 tries.

"She was kind of a slow starter but here toward the end of the year, she's really come into herself," said winning driver Trevor Smith.

Margin Of Error captured the 2-year-old filly pace handily in 1:55 with David Miller driving for co-owner/trainer Chris Beaver and his partners Donald E. Robinson, D. Meola, and RBH Ventures.

"I really didn't know anything about any of these horses I was down to drive tonight, but this one worked out well," said Miller, who made his first drive at Northfield this year a winning one.

Margin Of Error is a daughter of Racing Hill-Margin Blue Chip-Artsplace who has banked $60,150. She left the gate at 6-1 odds, and this was her second career win in ten starts.

Burrow, the 1-5 favorite, notched his fourth win of the year for driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr., and trainer Jim Arledge Jr., in the 2-year-old colt and gelding trot, timed in 1:58 1/5. The Uncle Peter-Just Asking-Inquirer gelding now has $62,819 in career earnings for owners Jude Jacobs, M. McLoughlin, B. Roth, and P. Phillips.

"He was a little immature earlier in the year, but this crew has done a great job with him and his last couple of starts he's really come into himself," said Wrenn Jr.

Dontholdanythinbak captured the 2-year-old colt and gelding pace in a smart 1:52 3/5 for Arledge Jr. and owners Laura and Paul Baker. The son of Domethatagain-It's Ladies Nite-Towner's Big Guy was piloted by Wrenn Jr. to his second career win in 11 starts. This bay colt, who left the gate at 3-1, now has $61,778 in career earnings.

Thankful For You (9-2) took advantage of multiple front-end breakers in the lane to win the 3-year-old filly trot in an easy 1:55 3/5. Steered by Elliott Deaton for trainer Anette Lorentzon and owner Kentuckiana Racing Stable, the daughter of Manofmanymissions-Adelaide Hall-Conway Hall notched her fifth win of the year in her 22nd start and now has $95,276 in her bank account.

T Degengold (2-1) took the 3-year-old filly pace in a snappy 1:53 3/5 for trainer Jeff Nisonger and Wrenn Jr. The daughter of Pet Rock-Goldies Cam-Camluck is owned by Johnny P. Kearns and with this latest triumph - the 16th of her career - she now has $125,789 in career earnings. This victory gave Nisonger a training double and Wrenn Jr. a driving triple.

Enforce The Law (2-5) gave David Miller his second OSS triumph as he captured the 3-year-old colt and gelding trot in 1:55 3/5. The son of Triumphant Caviar-Shez Jailbait-Jailhouse Jesse is owned by his trainer Joseph Kramp. This was his eighth lifetime win in 30 starts and upped his lifetime earnings to $120,528.

Mr Ds Rock scored in a commanding 1:51 3/5, a new lifetime mark, in winning the 3-year-old colt and gelding pace. Aaron Merriman was at the lines for trainer Brian Loney and owners Tammy Carter, Debra Carsey, Scp Stable, and Peggy Carter. The son of Pet Rock-Cotton Candy-Sportsmaster picked up his tenth career win in 33 starts and pushed his bankroll to $186,110.
