Northfield: Ohio Sires Stakes events held on Monday
Debt Free and Iluvmymoni, two geldings by sire Ready For Moni, got the job done in a pair $75,000 Ohio Sires Staes splits for 2-year-old colt and gelding trotters on Monday night.
Driven by Ronnie Wrenn Jr. in the opening division, Debt Free got away cleanly from the trailing post nine and pressed on two-wide to take the lead past the 28 3/5 quarter. From there, Debt Free kept control to the half in 58 seconds and the three-quarters in 1:26 4/5 while he successfully dealt with an uncovered try from Motor Earle (Mike Micallef), and those two wound up first and second at the finish as well, with Debt Free three-quarters of a length to the good in 1:55 1/5. Lou Armstrong (Justin Irvine) collected third.
Bred by John Schlabach, Debt Free is trained by Vernon Beachy for owners 518 Group LLC., Gitup Racing, Ryan Smith and Todd's Auto. He has three wins, a second and a third from five efforts, has earned $121,250 and paid $5.60 to win as the favorite.

Mind On My Moni was the runner-up and Roll'n In Moni (Chris Lems) checked in third.
Iluvmymoni was sent out by Steve Carter for owners Brixton Medical Inc. and Hatfield Stables. The Wayne Weaver-bred has a summary of 3-2-0 from five outings, has pocketed $120,125 and returned $5.60 to win as the second choice.
