Northfield: Ohio Sires Stakes bonanza held on Saturday night

As part of Saturday's blockbuster program at MGM Northfield Park, there were nine Ohio Sires Stakes events for a number of divisions.

Driver Chris Page and trainer Ron Burke were the only multiple winners, as they combined for a hat trick.

They took a $65,000 2-year-old filly pace with Shacarri (by Summa Cum Laude and bred by co-owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC. and Phil Collura, paid $2.20 to win) in 1:55, a $65,000 3-year-old male trot with Hilltop Sonar (by What The Hill and bred by Adrian Hochstetler, paid $19.20 to win) in 1:55 2/5 for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Beasty LLC. and Rich Lombardo Racing LLC. and a $50,000 2-year-old male pace with When Is Parade (by Summa Cum Laude and bred by owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Michelle Yanek and Phil Collura, paid $16.40 to win) in 1:52 3/5.

In other Ohio Sires Stakes action for trotters, In The End, a Lionhunter homebred for owner/trainer Anette Lorentzon, took her $65,000 test for 3-year-old fillies in 1:55 1/5 for driver Dan Noble, while Lt Loverboy, a gelded son of Long Tom bred by Midland Acres, took his $65,000 contest for sophomore males in 1:54 2/5 for driver Brett Miller, trainer Daren Harvey and owners Wayne Mast Jr. and Callam Racing LLC. Also, Dream Something (by Uncle Peter and bred by Johanna Beaver, Michael L. Carter and Mary McLoughlin, paid $5 to win) captured his $65,000 grouping for 3-year-old colts and geldings in 1:56 2/5 for driver Tyler Smith, co-owner/trainer Miles Wollam and co-owner Julie Ann Sweet.

On the pacing side, She'safirewoman (by Catch The Fire and bred by owner Harry Horowitz) won the other $65,000 clash for rookie fillies in 1:54 2/5 for driver Luke Hanners and trainer Mark Winters

Winning the remaining two $50,000 splits for 2-year-old male pacers were Crocodile Station (by Downbytheseaside and bred by Spring Station Bloodstock, paid $3.60 to win) in 1:53 2/5 for driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr., trainer Michael Hitchcock and owner William Hartt and Pet Project (by Pet Rock and bred by co-owner/trainer Kimberly Dailey with Jerry Zosel and Kathy Ratcliff, paid $8.60 to win) in 1:53 3/5 for driver Trevor Smith.
