[DRF HARNESS EYE: The digital edition of Harness Eye is now available for just $6! Monthly rates are as low as $2.67 per issue.]

Race 2

(4) CAPITOL ACCOUNT well bred stallion should find this an easier spot than his last few. (2) GRANTLAND should be much closer turning for home this week. (1) GIBBS veteran pacer gets the best post in a field with few contenders.

Race 3

(1) POWERFUL VALOR takes a significant drop in class with the best post. (6) GONNA FLY four-year-old stallion should be in the mix with a trouble-free trip. (8) SAINT SIMEON gets a very tough post to navigate from; use underneath.

Race 4

In a really tough race to handicap, (4) MAN HE CAN SKOOT gets sent out for the top barn in the country. (1) HA HA drops in class with the best post. (5) COMEON JOHN raced well last out against tougher.

Race 5

(1) RAY HALL drops down a level with the best starting post. (7) ERGO HANOVER well bred trotter is more than capable with a good setup. (9) MONTANA SKIES trotting mare shows a win at this level several starts back; threat.

Race 6

(9) SAND SUMMERFIELD will offer a monster price in a wide open and evenly matched race. (1) GLORY BEACH has been very competitive at this level. (2) JUST CROWNED has tailed off some this winter; command a price.

Race 7

(6) ART’S DELIGHT comes into the race off a nice victory for top connections. (3) CACTUS BILLY was sneaky sharp last start closing up nicely into a slow middle half. (2) EXOTIC MATTJESTY should be in a decent spot to save some ground before shaking loose late.

Race 8

(7) THINKOFAGAMEPLAN drops down out of the Open for the top barn. (5) COMMUNICATOR is one of the best closers in the race with a good setup. (1) BLUEBIRD IDEAL gets the best post in a field full of question marks.

Race 9

(2) SOUTHWIND AMAZON will look to make it two straight Open wins. (5) LOOKINFORADVENTURE might be one of few threats to the top choice. (7) BILBO HANOVER comes into the race sharp but will need racing luck from the outside.

Race 10

(4) J CS JAKE gelding trotter had a great 2016 and will look to start where he left off; big chance. (5) OUTBURST is a major player against this bunch but needs someone to press the top choice early for his best chance late. (3) ROCKINTHEPINES also comes into the race in good form; threat.

Race 11

(5) CAMCRUISER HANOVER veteran pacer gets a huge morning line. The 8-year-old made the most money in the field last year and needed his start a few weeks ago. (1) KIASMA ultra-consistent 9-year-old gets the best post. (4) TIDEWATER TEDDY pacer was a little flat in the claiming series final last out; command a price.

Race 12

(1) FOX RIVER MARK was the driver’s choice with the best post. (2) SPUNKEY MONKEY has hit the board in five of six but gets sent out for a low percentage provisional pilot. (3) PACIFIC PERCH is probably best used underneath.

Race 13

(1) PACE SEELSTER has been facing much tougher at the Meadows. The 5-year-old gets the best post in a weak and inconsistent field. (3) IMA NUISANCE pacer bumps up a notch but can threaten with some racing luck. (4) RUDE BOY keeps the top driver and has been competitive against better on the year.

Race 14

(9) YIPPI KI YEAH has room to improve second start for a new barn. (6) BORN TO ROCKN ROLL doesn’t look the best on paper but does drop down in class for a top driver. (7) ROUNTUIT BLUEGRASS gelding pacer is very inconsistent from week to week but is fast enough to threaten with a good effort.

Race 15

(6) CLINTON HANOVER well bred pacer was sharp last week never breaking a sweat. (2) MILLIONDOLLAR ART was racing well against slightly weaker a few starts back. The 10-year-old can hit the ticket at a price. (1) MOVIN’ N SHAKIN’ gets the best post off two good efforts.
