Northfield: Made For More, Miz Ella Paige strike in Ohio Sires Stakes
Two-year-old trotting fillies were in the spotlight on Sunday night at Northfield Park in two $75,000 Ohio Sires Stakes sections.
Made For More (Chris Lems) won the first division in 1:56 1/5 after she led through fractions of 29, 58 4/5 and 1:27 4/5. Moni Line (Kurt Sugg) was second after a first-over trip and Janet's Big Star (Tyler Smith) came in third from the pocket.
Vernon Beachy trains Made For More, a daughter of Long Tom, for owner/breeder John Schlabach. She has a summary of 4-2-0 from six efforts, has earned $189,750 and paid $5 to win as the 3-2 second choice.

In the other split Miz Ella Paige (Sam Widger) was in front at the 29 second opening quarter, the 59 3/5 half and the 1:28 2/5 three-quarters, and her 29 1/5 final kicker got her to the wire three lengths ahead of Rose Run Cybill (Kurt Sugg) in a 1:57 3/5 mile. Lady Bountiful (Chris Page) checked in third.
