Next Generation champion I'llbetyourboots topped a training triple for Ron Burke in Ohio Sires Stakes for 2-year-old pacers on Sunday evening at MGM Northfield Park.
Driven by Chris Page, I'llbetyourboots, by Summa Cum Laude and bred by Judy Roegner, won the second of four $50,000 events for colts and geldings in 1:54 as he took command near the 27 4/5 opening quarter and went on to score by two lengths. Spanky McGee (Mike Micallef) took second and Thunder Jam (Mike Wilder) finished third.
Owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Knox Services Inc. and Larry Karr, I'llbetyourboots has a summary of 3-0-1 from four appearances, has put away $104,960 and paid $2.40 to win.
Back in the opening section for the colts and geldings, Lindy Dragonwater, by Downbytheseaside and bred by Lindy Farms, converted a pocket trip into a 1:54 2/5 win for Page and Burke. Maserati Marv (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.), who cut fractions of 28 3/5, 59 and 1:26 1/5, was second, three-quarters of a length behind Lindydragon Water and Pet Project (Trevor Smith) came in third.

Rounding out the victorious Burke trio was Seaside Shuffle (Wrenn Jr.) in the second of two $65,000 groupings for fillies. She hit the front past the 28 second opening quarter, put up the half in 58 1/5 and the three-quarters in 1:27 1/5 and sprinted a final quarter of 27 2/5 to hold off a rallying Deep Stain (Micallef) by a nose in 1:54 3/5. Vanna By The River (Wilder) collected third.
Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Knox Services Inc. and R A S Racing LLC own Seaside Shuffle, who has won both of her starts, has pocketed $36,800 and paid $13.20 to win. Seaside Shuffle was bred by William Walters and Joe McLead.
Winning the other two contests for colts and geldings were Swelce (by Summa Cum Laude and bred by Spring Haven Farm, paid $4 to win) in 1:55 for driver Mike Wilder, trainer Jeff Nisonger and owners Kathy Gorby, Nisonger Stable LLC. and Mitchell Standardbreds Inc. and Gentleman's Club (by Downbytheseaside and bred by Fred Hertrich III, paid $3.60 to win) in 1:54 3/5 for driver Aaron Merriman, trainer Aaron Lambert and owner Anthony Licastro.
