Laude Da (Chris Page) worked out a second-over trip and wound up in the runner-up spot and She'safirewoman (Brett Miller) wound up third after she vacated the pocket on the way to three-quarters. The victorious Downbytheseaside filly was bred by Spring Haven Farm and Joe Sbrocco and was sent out by Herman Hagerman for owners Hagerman Racing and Charles Reeve. Sassy By The Sea was winless in eight tries as a freshman but is three-for-three as a sophomore and has a career bankroll of $113,582. She paid $9 to win. KB Wrecking Ball (Dan Noble) pulled out of third going to the 28 3/5 quarter in the other pacing split and worked her way around Vanna By The River (Jordan Stratton) before the 56 4/5 half. From there, KB Wrecking Ball kept Vanna By The River at bay after she went two-wide going to the 1:25 3/5 three-quarters, and couldn't be reeled in through the lane either, winning by three-quarters of a length in 1:53 4/5. Shacarri (Page) rallied for second and Seaside Shuffle (Wrenn Jr.) grabbed third. Bradley Delaney bred and owns KB Wrecking Ball, a daughter of Fool Me Once, and Deborah Swartz is the trainer. Unraced as a 2-year-old, KB Wrecking Ball has seven victories, a runner-up finish and a third in nine trips behind the gate and has put away $126,625.
