None Above the Law draws away to win Real Good Deal Stakes

None Above the Law gave trainer Peter Miller and jockey Flavien Prat their third wins of the day with an emphatic victory Friday at Del Mar in the $175,000 Real Good Deal Stakes for 3-year-old California-breds.
None Above the Law ($22) sat third in the early portion of the seven-furlong race, stormed past early leaders Atomic Drop and Letsgetlucky entering the lane, and drew clear through the final furlong to win by about five lengths.
Heavily favored The Chosen Vron, sent off at 1-5, was a non-threatening second. He veered in at the start, trailed early behind a moderate pace of 22.98 seconds for the quarter and 46.20 seconds for the half, and made up some ground late.
Letsgetlucky was third.
None Above the Law was timed in 1:22.90 on the fast main track.
None Above the Law was turning back to a dirt sprint after four straight two-turn races, most recently just 14 days ago when ninth of 12 in the opening-day Oceanside on turf.
The win was his fifth in 13 outings. He had won two prior stakes, both at Golden Gate. None Above the Law, a gelding by Karakontie, is owned by Downstream Racing, the stable name of his breeders, Kirk and Judy Robison.
