Noble Drama surges to victory in Benny the Bull

Noble Drama won the fourth stakes race of his career Sunday when he rallied down the center of the track for a 2 1/2-length victory over Travy Boy in the $100,000 Benny the Bull at Gulfstream Park.
It was another length back to third-place Garter and Tie, who won a photo for the show spot over Squeezadios.
The Benny the Bull was a seven-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up bred in Florida. It shared a card with the $100,000 Sheer Drama, won by Heiressall.
Noble Drama ($8.80) was cutting back from two turns and let the speed go as Travy Boy shuttled to the lead and set fractions of 22.48 seconds for the opening quarter, 44.53 for the half-mile and 1:09.14 for six furlongs. Noble Drama launched a big run on the turn and sustained his momentum through the lane to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:22.09.

Harold Queen bred and owns Noble Drama, who went over $500,000 in earnings with the win Sunday. The horse is a son of Gone Astray. Noble Drama has now compiled a 6-for-21 career record and has banked $506,837.
Heiressall rallied for a length win in the Sheer Drama, one year after running second in the seven-furlong race for fillies and mares bred in Florida. Thissmytime was second, finishing a head in front of third-place finisher Liza Star.
Heiressall ($5.60), who was a slight favorite over Cookie Dough, stalked that one through fractions of 22.38 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.95 for the half-mile. The eventual winner covered the distance on a fast track in 1:22.79.

Heiressall is a daughter of Wildcat Heir. She earned $70,015 on Sunday to improve her career record to 6 for 18 for earnings of $296,238.
