Noble Drama, Prospective Lady get Florida Sire Stakes wins

Noble Drama was up for a half-length win over Yeehaw in the $100,000 Silver Charm on Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs. The race was one of two stakes on the card. Prospective Lady became a stakes winner in the $100,000 Ivanavinalot.
The Ivanavinalot and Silver Charm are part of the Florida Sire Stakes program. The races were for 3-year-olds at a mile and 40 yards. The series is administered by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association.
Noble Drama ($9.20) tracked the pace through fractions of 23.33 seconds for the opening quarter, 47.57 for the half-mile, and 1:12.54 for six furlongs. In the stretch, he overtook leader Yeehaw to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:40.34.
Willie Martinez was aboard for trainer David Fawkes.
The win was the first in a stakes for Noble Drama and his second career victory from five starts. He won a maiden special weight by 9 1/2 lengths on March 9 at Gulfstream. Noble Drama has now earned $98,840.
Noble Drama is by Gone Astray. Noble Drama’s stakes-winning dam, Queen Drama, is a full sister to Sheer Drama, a multiple Grade 1 winner and a half-sister to champion Big Drama. The horses were all trained by Fawkes and bred and raced by Harold Queen, who is the owner and breeder of Noble Drama.
Prospective Lady ($17.40) held off the late surge of Starship Bonita for a half-length win in the Ivanavinalot. It was another 2 3/4 lengths back to 3-5 favorite Florida Fuego in third.
Prospective Lady led throughout, setting fractions of 23.63 seconds for the opening quarter, 47.78 seconds for the half-mile, and 1:12.54 for six furlongs before covering the distance in 1:41.35. Jose Bracho was aboard for trainer Gerald Bennett.
Prospective Lady earned $60,000 for the win, her second from nine starts. She now has earnings of $84,457. Prospective Lady is a daughter of Prospective who races for James Georgeades, Gregge Dasher, and Ronald Pugilese.
