No set plans for Rock Your World

Rock Your World, 17th in the Kentucky Derby on May 1 and sixth in the Belmont Stakes on June 5, has returned to California with an uncertain race schedule this summer.
Trainer John Sadler said Thursday that the colt’s next race “is to be determined” and that races on turf and dirt will be considered. Rock Your World was scheduled to resume training on Friday at Santa Anita.
“We’ll get him on the track to dust him off,” Sadler said.
Owned by Pete and Kosta Hronis and Michael Talla, Rock Your World has won 3 of 5 starts and earned $591,600. Rock Your World won the Pasadena Stakes at a mile on turf in his stakes debut on Feb. 27 and the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby in his main track debut on April 3.
In the Belmont Stakes, Rock Your World disputed a quick pace before fading through the stretch, finishing 22 lengths behind race winner Essential Quality.
Flagstaff, trained by Sadler, will be pointed to the Grade 2 Pat O’Brien Stakes at seven furlongs on Aug. 28 at Del Mar after finishing second in the True North Stakes at six furlongs on June 4 at Belmont Park. Flagstaff disputed the pace with eventual winner Firenze Fire, the even-money favorite.
Flagstaff earned a career-best Beyer Speed Figure of 101 in the True North, his fifth start of 2021.
“That’s his best race on every category of numbers,” Sadler said. “He’s had a good campaign already.”
Flagstaff, 7, has won two stakes this year, notably the Grade 1 Churchill Downs Stakes at seven furlongs on May 1.
Sadler recently added two 3-year-olds to his stable in Crew Dragon and Spirit Maker who will be considered for the $100,000 Oceanside Stakes at a mile on turf on July 16 at Del Mar.
Crew Dragon, formerly trained by Bill Mott, was second in the Columbia Stakes at a mile on turf at Tampa Bay Downs in March. Spirit Maker, formerly trained by Todd Pletcher, won a maiden race at 1 1/16 miles on turf at Aqueduct last November in his only start.
Flightline, the eye-catching winner of a maiden special weight race at six furlongs by 13 1/4 lengths in his debut on April 24, worked three furlongs in 35.40 seconds on Wednesday for a summer return at Del Mar. Sadler said he timed the 3-year-old Flightline in 36 seconds.
