No Nay Never represented at OBS

No Nay Never, a son of the late Scat Daddy, carried on the legacy of his sire’s international success by emerging as Europe’s leading freshman sire of 2018. As the world waits to see how well his progeny train on, one filly from his second crop will represent him at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s March sale of 2-year-olds in training.
This Irish-born filly is out of the winning Anabaa mare Anestasia, a full sister to Group 1 winner Amonita. Their dam, Group 2 winner Spectacular Joke, also produced Group 3 winner and stakes producer Cox Orange.
No Nay Never won 4 of 6 career starts and never was worse than second while running on turf, dirt, and synthetic in three countries. After winning the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at the renowned Royal Ascot meeting in England in 2013, he went on to capture the Group 1 Prix Morny in France. The following season, he was second in the Grade 2 Swale Stakes on Gulfstream Park’s main track, won the Grade 3 Woodford Stakes on turf at Keeneland, and finished second in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, beaten a half-length by Bobby’s Kitten.
Standing for Coolmore, which stood Scat Daddy, at its Irish headquarters, No Nay Never was represented last year by Ten Sovereigns, winner of the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket, and Land Force, winner of the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood. His best runner in the United States was Mae Never No, who won the Colleen Stakes at Monmouth and placed in three other stakes at three different tracks.
No Nay Never also was represented by Irish stakes-winning juveniles All The King’s Men, No Needs Never, and Servalan; Group 1-placed The Irish Rover; group stakes-placed Neverland Rock and We Go; and stakes-placed runners Art du Val, Chestnut Honey, Cosmic Law, Nonna Grazia, and Vanilla Law.
