OLDSMAR, Fla. – No Dozing, the runner-up in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes last fall, is being rerouted to the Grade 3, $200,000 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday after posting a bullet workout at Tampa Bay Downs over the weekend. No Dozing, most recently fourth in the Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby on March 11, worked five furlongs in 1:01 last Saturday, the fastest of 17 works at the distance here that day. Trainer Arnaud Delacour had said following the Tampa Bay Derby that No Dozing was likely to await the $125,000 Federico Tesio Stakes at Laurel Park on April 22. “It looks like there won’t be a big field for the Lexington, and he likes Keeneland,” Delacour said. “He ran well there last year, so I think it makes sense. Really, he’s been doing terrific. I’m very optimistic with him.” Last October, No Dozing finished fourth behind eventual champion 2-year-old male Classic Empire in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity at Keeneland. A homebred for the Lael Stables of Roy and Gretchen Jackson, No Dozing has won two of six starts and earned $150,840. Tapa Tapa Tapa sharp in work Tapa Tapa Tapa, the winner of the $55,000 Suncoast Stakes here on Feb. 11, is still under consideration for the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs on May 5 but might wait for the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico on May 19 instead, trainer Tim Hamm said. Tapa Tapa Tapa worked five furlongs in 1:01 here last Friday, the second-fastest of 13 works at the distance that day. The filly most recently was fourth in the Grade 3 Honeybee Stakes at Oaklawn Park on March 11. “It was a long trip [to Oaklawn], and she had run twice really quick off a decently long layoff, so we just wanted to space her races out and let her bounce back, but she’s doing awesome,” Hamm said. “We probably won’t make a decision on the Oaks until right near entry day. We want to see how that race shapes up.” Hamm said Tapa Tapa Tapa will ship to Churchill Downs later this month and breeze over the track to help determine whether she goes in the Oaks. Owned by Beau Ravine LLC, Tapa Tapa Tapa won the Suncoast by three lengths while making her first start following a four-month layoff. She has won three of seven starts and earned $111,043. ◗ Ballinskelligs will look for her third straight win in the featured eighth race Wednesday, a $16,000 starter allowance going one mile on the grass. Ridden by Ronnie Allen Jr. for his fiancé, trainer Maria Bowersock, the 4-year-old Malibu Moon filly has made five starts at this meet, with three wins, a second, and a third.
