No clear favorite in Bob Bryant

ALTOONA, Iowa – Friday’s $60,000-added Bob Bryant Stakes, comprised of seven lightly raced Iowa-bred fillies going six furlongs, has a wide-open look, as several will vie for favoritism and no participant can be ruled out.
Aintgotno Home, astutely claimed by owner Shawn Schabel and trainer John Hall for $30,000 when a half-length winner May 8, is undefeated, has good gate speed, and drew the rail. But she must prove herself at this higher level against stakes runners like Haforuhaforme and Golden Tiago.
Haforuhaforme, who took no part when 11th against older company in a salty April 18 allowance, won the Iowa Sorority last August and can make amends against her own generation.
Golden Tiago, who was beaten by a half-length when second in the Iowa Sorority, closed stoutly to be second, beaten three-quarters of a length, in her local allowance debut for 3-year-olds and up April 25. Her late-rallying style can stand her in good stead in this speed-laden field under jockey Glenn Corbett.
Say a Hail Mary and the maiden Chance to Dance, expected to contest the pace with Aintgotno Home, both can be given a chance. Say a Hail Mary, conditioned by the high-percentage Hillary Hartman outfit, routed maiden company by four lengths here April 19. The Doug Anderson-trained Chance to Dance, representing the stable that sent out 2014 Fantasy Stakes winner Sugar Shock, chased home fellow Bob Bryant Stakes entrant Brava Genius on May 3 and finished second.
Brava Genius, who rallied for a two-length win in that maiden race, has good tactical speed for trainer Ray Tracy. Jockey Ken S. Tohill, off to an excellent 21 for 87 start to the meet, retains the mount.
Jockie Gold, who must rebound from a ninth-place finish in the April 25 race in which Golden Tiago ran second, has ability and rounds out the field.
The Bob Bryant Stakes is scheduled for 9:37 p.m. Central.
