No Cents has stakes-debut victory in James F. Lewis

No Cents became a stakes winner on Saturday, when he won his third consecutive race in the $100,000 James F. Lewis III at Laurel Park.
The six-furlong race was one of two stakes on the card for 2-year-olds. Street Lute rode the rail to a clear win in the $100,000 Smart Halo.
No Cents ($10.80) came into Saturday’s race off back-to-back wins at Monmouth Park. He accounted for a maiden special weight in his second career start Sept. 27, then won a first-level allowance Oct. 21.
No Cents was making his stakes debut Saturday and was content to let the speed go, stalking in fifth as Lugamo took the field through an opening quarter in 22.05 seconds and a half-mile in 45.02. Jockey Trevor McCarthy angled No Cents out at the top of the stretch and the horse rallied past the leaders. He covered the distance on fast track in 1:09.16.

No Cents won by 1 1/4 lengths over Dalton.
The winner is a son of Goldencents owned by Isabelle de Tomaso and Hope Jones. He is trained by Cathal Lynch.
Street Lute ($5) won the second stakes race of her young career in the Smart Halo. She raced along the rail, overcame a tight spot down the backside, and went on to a 2 3/4-length win over Out of Sorts.
Street Lute tracked the pace through an opening quarter of 21.69 seconds, moved to the fore through a half-mile in 44.75, and went on to cover six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09.85.
Xavier Perez was aboard for trainer Jerry J. Robb.
Street Lute is a daughter of Street Magician who races for Lucky 7 Stables. Her other stakes win came in the $100,000 Small Wonder in September at Delaware Park.
