New members of The Jockey Club include Scollay, Hertrich
The Jockey Club has elected five new members, including Dr. Mary Scollay, the executive director and chief operating officer of the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium, and Fred Hertrich III, the chairman of the Breeeders’ Cup.
Also elected were the bloodstock agent Gatewood Bell, the owner-breeder James McIngvale, and the consignor, breeder, and owner John Sikura.
Scollay is a former regulatory veterinarian who played a leading role in the formation of the Equine Injury Database. Prior to being hired by the RMTC, Scollay was the equine medical director of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.

Hertrich, an owner-breeder, is the owner of Watercress Farm. He is president of the Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships.
Bell is president of the Cromwell Bloodstock Agency and a member of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission. He has also worked for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and as a jockeys’ agent.
McIngvale is best known as the owner of Runhappy, an Eclipse winning sprinter who is now a stallion. He owns Gallery Furniture in Houston.
Sikura is president and owner of Hill ‘n’ Dale/Xalapa, a full-service Thoroughbred operation. Sikura’s farm is annually one of the leading consignors at North American Thoroughbred auctions and has bred a number of top-class horses.
