(9) RHODENA BLUE showed she could get around the Mohawk oval before dipping back to Ohio for a sharp win. She shouldn’t be navigating from last. (2) MY GIRL FRIDAY was overmatched against Grand Circuit fillies but is likely to rebound tonight. Bigger chance if she can trip out. (3) MONTE AMORE held her own last week and this draw gives her plenty of trip options.

Race 2: POP UP SERIES: F&M STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST 4 STARTS. (W/O $50,000 IN 2026 N/E). AE: N/A $2,000 P/S IN 2025-26. LEG 1.

(4) LANESIDE INCONTROL was better two starts ago but found herself out of position. Last week’s speed try and crush job is a hint of what could come tonight. (8) YODA QUEEN returns to Mohawk after an okay try in Grand River’s top mares pace. She could add a little bit of value to things given the post. (1) SORCHA SEELSTER really can’t be trusted anymore but should work out a mid-pack trip and be looking to get a piece.

Race 3: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(2) PSYCLONE SEELSTER is likely to improve for top connections and has some decent breeding. Purple Aura was a former mare for TheStable who did decent things in Ohio. (6) THREE SIX ZERO is the other winner from the morning and showed he could navigate the rail, which sometimes isn’t easy for older trotters, let alone two year olds. (7) LETS PLAY ECURIE trotted home nicely and is likely to be in the mix for a piece. Curious how Ecurie D’s offspring look.

Race 4: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(5) IM SWEET ON LOU paced a strong back half in the morning and looks like a filly that could have some ability. As does (2) BETTORDOG who paced an excellent final quarter, and we’ve seen what the offspring of Bulldog Hanover has done already. (6) THAT CRAZY GINGER deserves a look given the connections. Some of these will be forced to work on the outside. We’ll see what some of them can provide.

Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(9) HEY GENIE makes her Mohawk debut after a solid qualifier. If she gets a decent trip from the high draw, she could upset. (4) PRESS ON BALLYKEEL is better than what she showed last week. I would look for her to get a stalking trip from up close. (2) KENOGAMI BELLINI caught a piece in a Gold and could be primed for a first over blitz if the leaders are strolling along.

Race 6: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(8) TIDAL SEELSTER is the lone second-time starter in this group after pacing a solid mile against older horses in his debut. If he improves on that effort, he should be tough here. (4) WE WANT EAZY cruised in his second qualifier and looks like a colt that will show plenty on debut. (1) NINELEVEN HANOVER was a good second in the morning when tracking throughout. I can see similar tactics netting him a piece.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(1) ARKONA SEELSTER was placed back in her latest but that didn’t take away from how well she raced. This looks like a spot for her to do well if she puts forth that kind of mile again. (6) UPGRADE went a mile in her latest that should keep her tight for tonight. I would expect her to be forwardly placed. (4) GREEN MONI QUEEN could improve with Lasix added. She has been in the mix before and could challenge with the right trip.

Race 8: POP UP SERIES: F&M STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST 4 STARTS. (W/O $50,000 IN 2026 N/E). AE: N/A $2,000 P/S IN 2025-26. LEG 1.

(7) SENSATIONALIZE A drops into this Pop-Up after a promising Mohawk debut. I’m not sure how they beat her unless she is extremely out of position. (6) MAI TIDE has improved with each start since returning and could be set for an even better effort tonight. (2) SWIFT TALKER was a grinding third in her latest. It seems likely that she’ll be challenging for that spot again unless things really go her way.

Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 2. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(6) BELLA CHICA could play spoiler here with the right trip. She was right there in her first Grassroots try and comes off a sharp win. I would’ve liked to see what (4) ELBOWS UP had for the older boys, but she broke at the start. This is the spot that she could dominate all summer. (2) RARE LEGACY has been off three weeks which could leave her a step short. I’m not sure if she works out a trip like she did two back.

Race 10: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR NW $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS.

I’ll look for (4) CATTLEKISS to rebound after coming up short as the favorite last week. If she doesn’t have to make that second move, I think she’ll be okay. (8) CACKLE BERRY is another who falls into that category. She has the speed, but needs the right setup with another off the pace try likely coming. (6) MCBUBBLES has been outracing her odds with different trips. Her versatility should give her a chance to get a piece again.

Race 11: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS FOR W/O $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS.

(6) NO BETTER AIR took a death shuffle when an extreme longshot stopped in front of her. She raced extremely well to somehow finish second despite that. (5) MALICIA SPEED showed that her speed two back wasn’t a fluke. I would expect her to be forwardly placed and challenge for the win again. (2) NAUGHTY DELIGHT had to work as the odds on favorite last week, but did get the job done. I’ll use her underneath tonight.

Race 12: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $70,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME.

Interesting finale. (7) EASY STATION is likely between stakes engagements but has more than enough speed to secure a forward trip and win again at this level. (6) SHES A BULLDOG is in the Windor category of being between stakes, but needing a confidence booster. She could find it here if others are caught napping. (8) PIPERS LUNA had been racing too good to not have a win this year. I can see her getting a piece at a price regardless of trip.
