HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Nerazurri flattered champion Nitrogen on Friday at Oaklawn Park, where she won the $135,000 Trivista overnight stakes one start after finishing second to her stablemate.

The Trivista was a 1 1/16-mile race for older fillies and mares that's part of the buildup to Rebel Day on Sunday.

Nerazurri came into the Trivista heavily favored off a runner-up finish to Nitrogen in the Grade 3 Bayakoa on Feb. 7 at Oaklawn. She finished 2 3/4 lengths behind the champion, who trainer Mark Casse has said is being pointed for the upcoming Grade 2, $400,000 Azeri at Oaklawn.

As for Nerazurri ($2.60), she tracked the pace Friday, sitting just off Gowells Delight through fractions of 24.02 seconds for the opening quarter-mile and 48.70 for the half. Nerazurri moved to the lead through six furlongs in 1:13.32 and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:43.76. Jockey Cristian Torres was aboard for Casse.

Nerazurri won by 2 1/4 lengths over Peignoir, while it was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third to Seraphia. There were three scratches from the Trivista: Home Game, Decadent and Rose Palace.

Michael Eiserman owns Nerazurri, a daughter of Protonico who is now 3 for 4 this meet at Oaklawn. Her wins include the Oaklawn Sports overnight stakes. Overall, Nerazurri has won 5 of 15 starts for earnings of $381,088.

Racing resumes Saturday with the running of the Grade 3, $500,000 Razorback Handicap. The infield is scheduled to be open, according to Oaklawn executive Chris Ho.
