Needmore Flattery wins third in a row in DeBartolo Memorial

Needmore Flattery made it three in a row against older Ohio-bred fillies and mares when she won the $50,000 Rose Debartolo at ThistleDown on Sunday afternoon.

Trained by Tim Hamm, Needmore Flattery was kept off the early pace by jockey Irwin Rosendo. The 3-year-old went to the lead on the far turn and drew off to a 2 1/2-length win in the 1 1/16-mile event.

Pyrite Blues finished second, a length in front of Crafty Blue Kat in third.

Needmore Flattery returned $4.20 to win and ran the 1 1/16 miles over a fast track in 1:47.06.
