Needmore Flattery wins 2014 Tomboy
Jack Coady/Coady Photography Needmore Flattery continued to dominate statebred company with a victory Saturday in the Tomboy Stakes at Belterra Park.

Needmore Flattery continued her dominance over statebred company when winning the $50,000 Tomboy Stakes at Belterra Park Sunday afternoon.

Trained by Tim Hamm, the 2012 Ohio Horse of the Year repelled a challenge by Kelly's Pride in the upper stretch to draw off and win by 1 1/2 lengths. Kelly's Pride finished second, 4 1/2 lengths in front of Natural Bling, also trained by Hamm.

Ridden by Irwin Rosendo, Needmore Flattery ran the 1 1/16 miles over a sealed track labeled good in 1.48.97 and returned $2.40 to win.
