The Wayne Hanks, a 6 1/2-furlong race for fillies and mares, is the second stakes of the Lone Star meet, which started Thursday night. The track’s first race of the season was the $50,000 Premiere, which Supermason won by 7 3/4 lengths. The card Sunday will have a first post of 2:05 p.m. Central.

“She’s always been forwardly placed,” Von Hemel said. “She always gets out and gets a good spot.”
