A much better ending

Last Sunday's State Fair Futurity had a much better ending for trainer David Anderson than last year's did, as he saddled Ittakestwobaby to a three-length win in the $20,650 dash at 4 1/2 furlongs.

In last year's race, Anderson sent out Ittakestwobaby's half-brother Touchonemore. The gelding was went off at even money, opened a three-length lead into the stretch, then suffered a fatal breakdown in his hind leg.

On Sunday, Ittakestwobaby took control through the turn and drew off for to win as the 6-5 favorite. R.D. Williams, who was aboard Touchonemore a year ago, was also on board for Sunday's win.

Ittakestwobaby was making his career debut in the State Fair Futurity. He is a son of Dazzling Falls out of the mare Rancho Gal. His dominant win marks him the one to beat in the closing-day feature here, the $25,000 Capitol City Futurity.
