Ms Bad Behavior faces Out of The Flames in Unzip Me Stakes

ARCADIA, Calif. - Since they finished second and third in the Sweet Life Stakes in February, the 3-year-old fillies Ms Bad Behavior and Out of The Flames have won their first stakes.
Ms Bad Behavior won the China Doll Stakes at Santa Anita in March, while Out of The Flames won the Mizdirection Stakes at Aqueduct in April. They meet for the first time since February in Saturday’s $75,000 Unzip Me Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at about 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course at Santa Anita.
Both were beaten in their last starts. Ms Bad Behavior, trained by Richard Baltas, was fourth by three lengths in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks at 1 1/8 miles on Aug. 18. The Unzip Me Stakes will be her first start in a sprint since the Sweet Life.
Out of The Flames, trained by Simon Callaghan, was seventh of nine at 7-2 in the Daisycutter Handicap for fillies and mares at five furlongs on turf at Del Mar on Aug. 3, her only start since the Mizdirection.
The two fillies are part of a full field of 12 in the Unzip Me Stakes, the last of 12 races Saturday.
Their leading rivals are True Royalty, who won the Grade 3 Torrey Pines Stakes on dirt at Del Mar on Aug. 26; and Hey Negrita, who overcame trouble to win an allowance race with a claiming option on turf at Del Mar on Sept. 2.
There are two California-breds in the field who have won two stakes – Pulpit Rider and Spiced Perfection.
Pulpit Rider has won two stakes on turf and won an optional claimer against open company at Del Mar on Aug. 11. Spiced Perfection won an optional claimer on dirt at Del Mar in her last start and will have her second start on turf in the Unzip Me. She has something to prove, having finished seventh in her lone turf start last January.
