Mr. Jordan’s next start under consideration

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Trainer Eddie Plesa Jr. said on Wednesday that Mr. Jordan came out of his second-place finish in the Tamarac Stakes here March 27 in good order and that he’s considering several options for his next start. Competitive Edge remained unbeaten with an 8 1/4-length victory in the Tamarac.
Mr. Jordan suffered his first setback in four starts in the seven-furlong Tamarac. The overnight stakes was his first outing since undergoing minor surgery shortly after concluding his 2-year-old campaign with an easy victory in the one-mile Smooth Air Stakes at Gulfstream Park West in November.
“He definitely needed his last start, especially going up against a horse like Competitive Edge,” said Plesa, who also is doing well after undergoing back surgery two weeks ago.
