Mr. Greeley filly tops Ocala tab

A Mr. Greeley filly posted the day's fastest work, breezing an eighth-mile in 10 seconds, at Monday's under-tack preview for next week's Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's select 2-year-old auction.

The Monday show featured Hip Nos. 205 through 407 for the auction, which is set for March 19-20 at the OBS facility in Ocala, Fla.

The Mr. Greeley filly, a daughter of the Dixieland Band mare Dixieland Blues, is in the Shanbally Acres consignment.

Three horses led Monday's quarter-mile works in 21.60 seconds. Those were Hip No. 253, an End Sweep-Bigger Half (Megaturn) filly; Hip No. 296, a Double Honor-Dance Somar (Dance Bid) colt; and Hip No. 374, a Valid Expectations-Holly Bugs (Fit to Fight) filly.

On Sunday, when Hip Nos. 1 through 204 breezed, a Glitterman-Rapid Raja (Darby Creek Road) colt from Robert Harris's consignment breezed a quarter-mile in 21.60 seconds for the day's best time.

The next under-tack previews are set for March 16-17 at 9 a.m. The sale runs from March 19-20, beginning at 11 a.m. each day.
