Coady Media Mr Chaos, second in the William Henry Harrison last year, won this years edition Wednesday at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Second by a neck as the 7-5 favorite last year in the William Henry Harrison Handicap, Mr Chaos was second to none in the 2024 renewal on Wednesday at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Rallying wide after a stalking trip under Orlando Mojica, Mr Chaos was up by three quarters of a length over Pickle Feet, with C J’s Storm close behind in third.

Favored again this year, Mr Chaos paid $4.60 to win and was clocked in 1:10.87 for six furlongs over a fast track. Mr Chaos was the 127-pound high-weight in a $100,000 race restricted to Indiana-registered horses sired by Indiana stallions.

Rob Dobbs trains Mr Chaos for Ken Sentel and Judy Dorris. Bred by Anthony Mattias, 5-year-old Mr Chaos, a winner in nine of his 19 starts, is by Turbo Compressor out of Corsica, by Sky Mesa.

One race earlier, 6-year-old Diamond Solitaire ($12.20), a route horse for most of her career, added a second race worth of evidence that she has found her calling as a sprinter. A solid third May 6 in six-furlong allowance comeback race following a long layoff, Diamond Solitaire rallied up the rail under Alex Achard and won the $100,000 Shelby County Handicap, the Harrison’s sister race, by 1 3/4 lengths.

Achard broke his mount from post 12 but managed to work out a favorable trip for his mount, who came inside 2-1 favorite Imagine the Moon and stubborn 15-1 pacesetter Girls Are Tuffer in the final furlong and won going away.

Imagine the Moon was a neck better than Girls Are Tuffer and neither was as good as Diamond Solitaire, who ran six furlongs on a fast track in 1:11.29 while carrying 125 pounds. Botox Katie, the 127-pound high weight, went off at 64-1 and finished fifth.

Diamond Solitaire was bred by her owners, the Diamond Solitaire Partnership of David Osborne, Loren Hebel Osborne, and Warren Gene Maclean, and is trained by Ethan West. The mare is by Rockport Harbor out of Diamond Seeker, by Sightseeing.
