Mountaineer: Private Horde still unbeaten

Private Horde ($4.20) remained unbeaten in four starts this year when he drew off to a two-length victory in the $76,900 Waterford Park Handicap at Mountaineer Park.

The 4-year-old Private Horde, ridden by Jason Lumpkins for trainer Joe Cain, was the slight favorite over Crossing Point in the field of six sprinters. After setting fast fractions of 21.85 and 44.53 seconds, Crossing Point tired and finished third, a half-length behind Frankie R's Winner, a 23-1 shot who closed to take second.

Private Horde's time for six furlongs over a muddy track was 1:09.12.
