Crossing Point and Top Shoter dueled from start to finish in the $75,000 Mountain State Handicap, with Crossing Point coming out a half-length on top. Crossing Point paid $8.80 to win.

* Missme ($7.80) edged Ask the Lord and Horrible Evening in a blanket finish in the $75,000 Independence Day Handicap for 3-year-olds and up at a mile on turf.

* In the $75,000 Firecracker, for fillies and mares at a mile on turf, Passionate Bird ($19.60) got up in the final stride to defeat River Flower by a nose.
