More Than Ready filly fastest at Barretts

LEXINGTON, Ky. - A More Than Ready filly out of stakes winner Saratoga Humor clocked a furlong in 9.80 seconds Friday as the fastest worker at the distance in the Barretts May under-tack show.

The breezes at Fairplex Park in Pomona, Calif., previewed the Barretts May 2-year-old in training auction. The sale will take place at the Hinds Pavilion starting at 2 p.m. on May 10.

The speedy dark bay or brown More Than Ready filly is cataloged as Hip No. 104 in the Jerry Bailey Sales Agency's consignment. Her dam is a Distorted Humor mare and half-sister to stakes producer Prospect Saras Ack.

The afternoon's fastest quarter-mile time of 20.80 seconds was by Hip No. 66, a Successful Appeal colt out of Grade 3-placed Literary Light. The bay colt sells as part of the Wolf Creek Farm consignment. He is a half-brother to the winner Run Smart One.
