Shes A Streaker chopped a fifth of a second off the Monticello Raceway track record for a 3-year-old filly pacer when she won Monday's $121,800 New York Sire Stakes event in 1:52 2/5 for driver Tyler Buter and trainer Ron Burke. Fansville (Colin Kelly) shot through from the pole position to the point and cut fractions of 26 2/5 and 55 2/5. The Last Martini (Jason Bartlett), the 1-9 choice, got going first-up out of third just past the half, giving cover to Shes A Streaker. Fansville was able to hold on to the top spot at three-quarters in 1:23 1/5, but The Last Martini moved closer to her in steady fashion. The Last Martini forged her way by Fansville on the last turn and turned for home first, but Shes A Streaker was in full flight to the outside. Although The Last Martini was game under Bartlett's urging, Shes A Streaker was able to get by her late in the mile, prevailing by half a length. Mrs Cheese (Matt Kakaley) was third, followed by Fansville and Strutsville (Ridge Warren). ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter The time of 1:52 2/5 bettered the previous mark of 1:52 3/5 set by Romantic Moment back on August 28, 2012.
