Equi-Photo No Sleep wins the $65,000 Fort Monmouth Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday.n
No Sleep brushed off heavy favorite Sis City on the final turn and went on to score a 7 1/2-length victory in the $65,000 Fort Monmouth Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Ridden by Charles Lopez, No Sleep stalked in second position behind Toll Taker, who set fractions of 24.02 and 48.15 seconds. No Sleep grabbed the lead shortly after the final turn, where she put away a minor challenge from Sis City and then widened her lead with ease. Sis City finished second, and it was another 2 1/4 lengths to Toll Taker in third.
Trained by Gary Contessa, No Sleep ($10) finished 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.44.
