Moira wasn’t nominated to Tuesday’s $400,000 Prince of Wales Stakes, the middle leg of the Triple Crown on the dirt at Fort Erie. She was invited to the Grade 3 Jockey Club Oaks on Sept. 17 at Aqueduct, but Attard has all but ruled out that turf stakes for the daughter of Ghostzapper. “She needs a little bit more time between races,” Attard said. Moira was invited to the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup for 3-year-old fillies at Keeneland on Oct. 15, and will be nominated to the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor here Oct. 8. Both are turf races, and Attard said a decision is still pending regarding her next engagement. Moira is owned by X-Men Racing, Madaket Stables and SF Bloodstock, a partnership headed by Donato Lanni.
