Race 1
(6) ARTIFACT HANOVER - a $125K Harrisburg sale purchase - may be ready to fire his best shot now based on the way he finished up in his August 28th qualifier. (3) THUNDER SOME WHERE was taken for $80K at the Lexington sale and he looks ready to produce right away. (8) BODEGA BAY raced okay vs. a tough winner last time; using. (5) LYONS STEEL is a homebred that is worth a look at first asking here.
Race 2
(4) GISELE TREELANE couldn't have been more impressive last time winning from the worst post at Georgian. If she stays flat, I don't see her losing here. (5) HOLIDAY PROMISE has been getting closer, but she is still 1 for 22 lifetime and more likely to fill the exactor than win. (1) STRITCH can be a lot closer here if she doesn't break again. (6) LADY JUSTICE is another that broke last time who figures to hit the Super if she stays trotting.
Race 3
(10) NORTHERN STARLIGHT takes on rivals that are mostly stepping into a class she has won twice straight. While she is no lock from the 10-hole, that post should help boost her price and she only need to enter contention by the stretch to be right there of the wire. (7) ZLATAN looks like a new horse since coming off a break and he is the main danger here. (4) WINNING LYRIC comes off a smart win and his good late kick makes him a contender here. (2) KAMERAN HANOVER never misses the board; consider for exotics.
Race 4
(1) BADSTORMANYPORT drops back into a claimer and while he is likely to be heavily bet, he looks best here. (2) FOUR CARD MAJOR also drops into a conditioned claimer and he should be heard from here. (7) JACK RACKHAM is yet another that gets re-classified for a price here and his race two back makes him a threat. (3) SURF REPORT is in good form and he can take a share here.
Race 5
(3) NORTHERN STORMONT trotted a sub-56 back 1/2 last time in defeat. He should be closer early here moving inside and he can pass these late. (1) MANOFMANYIMAGES gets to face easier here and he should be a big threat vs. these. (5) FREE WILLY HANOVER is also worth a look in this class. (6) HOLIDAY PARTY comes off two solid efforts, but he usually closes for a piece after the winner has been decided.
Race 6
(4) HUDSONS YA YA was involved in a race with lots of outer flow at Georgian and she was shuffled out of contention. She has a big shot here back on the big track. (6) CRYSTAL GUMDROP beat the choice last time, but she tripped out on cover while the choice had nowhere to go. Toss her on Pick 4 tickets. (2) debuts for new connections following a private sale; beware. (1) ANGORA SEELSTER can stick around for a slice racing from close range.
Race 7
(3) WILL TAKE CHARGE tried to blast from the outermost post last week, but when three others had the same idea his plan was ruined. He can rake these coast-to-coast dropping a class and moving to a much better post. (2) MISTER HERBIE also drops a class and he has a good chance to complete the exacta here. (5) MEGO MOSS continues to hold hid form well and he is hard to leave off trifecta tickets. (4) NEILS GOLDEN GIRL is worthy of exotics consideration following a couple of decent efforts.
Race 8
(7) BURN OUT HANOVER was impressive when keeping his win skein going and he will be tough to beat here at a short price. (2) BO MACH should get a much better trip here moving inside and getting away from OSS Gold foes. (1) WEBMASTER HANOVER was no match for the choice last time, but he should make the ticket here. (5) DRAMATIC POINT will likely look for an easier trip here, which should translate into a good result.
Race 9
(5) ANNIKADABRA gamely fought off a late challenge at Georgian and she is in top form now; call to repeat. (8) BUSTINGATTHESEAMS has raced great at this track and Waples is often better racing from outer posts; using. (6) WHOLE LOT OF SUGAR should be a speed threat, but it's doubtful that she can hold off both of the two choices. (4) LATE SHIFT - now 0 for 21 - is worthy of consideration underneath only.
Race 10
(2) LEVY TAYLORE keeps McNair here and he quite often moves horses up the second time he drives them; top call. (8) COMPANY MAN faces easier and he should get an aggressive steer this time; using. (1) COOL ROCK needs things to fall the right way, but he is always a threat when racing this low. (5) ROCKABELLA attracted two claims last week which makes him a bit interesting here. (7) MAC RAIDER can stick around for a share after racing from close up.
