Race 1
(3) CAGEY impeccably bred 3-year-old makes his seasonal debut off a solid qualifier. (2) XANTHOS gelding is fast enough to score a victory against this group if he minds his manners. (8) LABERO has been competitive at this level.
Race 2
(1) MISTER HERBIE nine-year-old owns tons of back class and drops down a notch. (3) ADVERSITY six-year-old stallion has been racing gamely and just needs a good setup to hit the ticket. (5) CUE HALL shows some good efforts against better.
Race 3
(4) CHARMED LIFE classy mare should be much closer turning for home. (1) WINDSUN REVENGE hasn't raced in over a month but was solid in the qualifier. The 6-year-old was dominating this level a few starts back. (3) DIA MONDE comes into the race off two sharp efforts.
Race 4
In a fairly wide open and evenly matched race, (3) MISTY DE VIE pacing mare has yet to win on the year but almost swooped the field from far back last week. (2) COLUMNIST has been much improved for a new barn; versatile. (5) WAY BETTOR impeccably bred filly has the most upside in the field and had some sneaky late pace last week.
Race 5
(1) THE ROADIES gets a big post edge on the main threats in the race. The pacer should be in line for a much easier trip up close. (9) PRINCE CLYDE pacer is probably the horse to beat in the race with a trouble free trip. (10) RESISTANCE FUTILE gets sent out for a low percentage pilot but was really sharp first start back off a sharp layoff.
Race 6
(9) NORTHERN MAJOR adds first time lasix against softer. The 3-year-old gets sent out for capable connections and has lots of room to improve at a price. (6) MIAMI comes into the race off a break but does show a good burst of speed when timed right. (10) FONDUE lightly raced 3-year-old gets a tough starting post and might just try for a late piece; use underneath.
Race 7
(7) P L JERICO has put in two good efforts in a row. The 4-year-old drops down a notch and should be in the early mix. (10) NORTHERN STORMONT had no business winning last week from an impossible spot. If the trotting gelding races that way again he can make it two straight. (5) GRANA PADANNO has just been racing evenly; command a price.
Race 8
(7) DRAMATIC POINT well bred 2-year-old looks to kick his career off in style. The freshman colt has won all three qualifiers and looks to be sitting on a big effort. (4) BO MACH looks primed for an improved effort third start out. (6) DISMISSAL SLIP closed nicely last week against similar.
Race 9
(7) OHO DIAMOND almost set a world record last start. If the trotting mare races like that again, it's light's out. (8) APRIL ROSE trotting mare will offer a decent price and has been racing gamely. (4) WHISKEY TAX is just now back in racing shape; threat.
Race 10
(4) LMC MASS OAK shows a win against better on the year. (8) MARTY DE VIE is very consistent from week to week and will offer a big price. (6) MYRETIREMENTTICKET was a game winner at this level last out.
