Race 1
(4) O NARUTAC PERFETTO needs a trip, but he might just get one here in this compact field, and he should be a price; slight nod in a tough opener. (3) ODDS ON AMETHYST is a threat any time he races at this level and his most recent race was an improved effort in the Earl Rowe Memorial; using. (5) CATCH THE DREAM is sharp and he should be a late threat here. (1) FINISH LINE was picked off only very late last time. He is another that is a contender in a well-matched group.
Race 2
(3) ALL IT TAKES unleashed a furious rally two starts back to record the fastest mark of any in this field. He should have plenty of early speed to chase down here and McNair chose him over the 9 horse; top call. (6) FRONTIER SEELSTER should be the main speed threat and if he gets any breathers, he will be hard to overtake. (9) DREAM OF LUCK is in solid form and he is dangerous if he can work out a decent trip starting from out there. (4) KAZIMOTO can rally for a share here.
Race 3
(3) ACTION MAJESTY tuned up for this stakes event with a solid win over her elders. She is strictly the one to beat here. (1) AINT THREE OK has improved greatly over the last month and she is capable of taking the choice down if she gets a decent trip; using. (2) MANHATTAN PLAY is another that is in better form and she should share here. (5) STONEBRIDGE SUNDAE should be an early speed threat here and stick around for a share.
Race 4
(2) RENEGADE MAGIC trotted a tough first-over trip then dug in late to win in this class last week; call to repeat. (9) WILL TAKE CHARGE won last time he raced in this class so I imagine he will be blasting here; using. (6) BIG RICH is always around the money in this class, but a slice is more likely than a win for him. (4) ADVERSITY can close late to make the Tri or Super.
Race 5
It's no surprise that (3) BURN OUT HANOVER is a speedball with the breeding he has. I'll stick with him here despite the tougher company. (6) SOUTHWIND GRIZZLY has never faced easier to this point and he should be right there vs. these, although he may get overbet. (8) BIG TALKIN MAN has done nothing wrong to this point and he's worth a look shipping west from the Maritimes. (1) BODEGA BAY was no match for the winner last time but that was an improved effort and he can share here.
Race 6
(4) WARAWEE ROO trotted two very good miles in the Graduate Final and Hambletonian Maturity and he looks ready to produce following a break; slight nod. (5) DIA MONDE is in terrific form and he's hard to leave out. (6) MUSICAL RHYTHM is probably the best one in here, but he needs to stay flat, obviously. (1) CHARMED LIFE got back on track vs. easier last time when she was aggressively-handled by Roy. She should share here.
Race 7
(9) SVENSSON trotted a final 1/4 last time that is much faster than any others have recently in this field. He steps up in class here and he should be a big price. I'll swing for the fences with him. (5) NORTHERN STARLIGHT is the one to beat coming off a powerful win in this class. (7) TYCOON SEELSTER is worth a look going for Moreau for the first time here. (8) DREAM MASSIVE was no match for Northern Starlight last time, but he did trot a good mile and he can factor here.
Race 8
(6) THE JOY LUCK CLUB was an easy winner last time despite missing almost a month. She will be tough to beat here with $95K on the line. (2) SNAPPY DRESSER is sharp, but she often leaves herself with too much to do down the lane. (7) BLAMEITONTHENIGHT has a knack for winning at big prices. You could do worse than take a flyer on her here. (3) P L KAHLUAA can take a share off an inside following trip this time.
Race 9
(7) DANCER HALL lowered his life's mark twice in a row and he should be a strong contender here. (3) HILL OF A COLT looks like the main danger in what shapes up as a two-horse race on paper. (5) SETANTA can use his good closing kick to make the ticket here. (4) R FIRST CLASS can use his good early speed to get into contention then stick around for a slice if he can stay flat here.
Race 10
(4) DIAMONDTOOTHGERTIE was impressive winning from an outer post last time, now she gets Filion. Notice he steered her to a life's mark of 1:52 4/5 in July; top call. (8) SHEWEARSTHEPANTS is the obvious one to beat on paper, but she looked a bit tired last time, so I wouldn't take a short price here. (1) STELLENBOSCH is in solid form, but she seems more likely to take a slice than a win here. (2) FADING SHADOW and (3) THORNE SEELSTER are good ones to use underneath starting from the inside here.
