Race 1
(1) MAGIC NIGHT was cut loose early last time and he took an OSS Gold event leading throughout while never headed. While a similar approach would likely yield another win here, keep in mind that this is a conditioned race in between sires stakes engagements. (2) I JASMIN - although now sporting an 0 for 26 futility record - is getting closer and racing better. She will likely break her maiden soon, but demand a price if you like her. (9) ITS HALLRIGHT left hard as chalk last time then took a shuffle. She can share here if she gets good position off the gate. (6) JANDERSON rarely misses a check. She should fill one of the lower exotics rungs here.
Race 2
(7) SUMMER TRAVEL - a $35K Harrisburg buy - uncorked an outstanding qualifying mile on June 24th that makes him the one to beat here. (10) COURTLY CHOICE closed like a rocket from far back last time, but the winner was long gone. A similar scenario could play out here. (1) TRUMP THAT escaped late to win his debut as a big favorite. He can improve off that effort. He isn't out of this. (8) SPORTING CHANCE, bought for $65K at Lexington, has shown high late speed in both qualifiers. He can be a lot closer here racing for a purse.
Race 3
(1) DREAM TOGETHER could do no better than 3rd in her season debut despite trotting home in 26 4/5. There appears to be enough early speed in here for her late charge to be more effective; slight nod. (4) LMC MASS GEM went a phenomenal trip on the rim challenging the whole way and still survived for an OSS Gold win last time. He should be tough right back here. (2) PARADISE IMAGE goes for three straight and she has obviously hit her best stride; using. (3) HEAD TURNING JAG is another in with a chance here in a race where intent will be a big factor.
Race 4
(4) CHARMBO BLITZ showed next to nothing racing out of the 10-hole last week, but returning to a decent post should wake him up and he will likely be a good price here in a race that appears to have plenty of early speed signed on. (9) TOP DESIRE couldn't chase down a strong leader last time, but he too should benefit from the pace scenario here; using. (8) FACE OF WAR comes up tagged and he may try to take these all the way. He seems likeliest to last of the quick leavers. (7) APHRO STAR steps up off a loss, but he can pass some of these and hit the ticket at a price.
Race 5
(7) XANTHOS had some late interest in his debut last Tuesday at Georgian Downs and the $260,000 Harrisburg sale buy will likely offer a good price. I'll take a swing here in a field that is full of question marks. (10) ASA IM READY has been off more than a month, gets the 10-hole, but has the best form; your call. (5) CARSON HILL sports some of the better final quarters in here. If he is in contention at the 3/4 pole, he can beat these. (2) DAD LEADS has had 15 unsuccessful tries so far, but his race two starts back puts him in the picture in this field.
Race 6
(2) LADY CATERINA steps up off two losses, but she gets a good post and she could trip out near the front and score an upset here. (6) APRIL ROSE takes a big drop here and will be a deserving favorite in this group. She is a Pick 4 must-use for me. (9) LEXUS ROCKY had an impossible trip last time. He is capable of rebounding here, so consider him for multi-race tickets, too. (3) BLENHEIM looked like a winner last time until a rival scooted by late on the pylons. He should take a smaller share here.
Race 7
(6) JAN - a $35K Harrisburg buy - is a full-sister to 5-time winner OUTKAST BLUE CHIP and a 1/2-sister to $1.3 million earner Georgia Pacific. She faces older here, but she could be up to the task based on the speed she has shown in her qualifiers. (5) MACHING ME ZILLY keeps finding ways to get beat it seems, but she is sharp and handy and will get there soon. (9) ONLY ONE STAR showed good late zip to fall just short to the chalk in her local debut. She is worth using here and she should bring another good price. (3) DON'T STOP BELEIVIN was a solid winner of her debut at Grand River. She's another in with a decent chance in a competitive dash.
Race 8
(7) MEGO MOSS was taken by Moreau when dropped to this level last week and he is right back in for the same price in a class he has dominated the last three times he was in it. He is hard to go past here. (6) GIRL DRAMA figures best of the rest again here. (8) IM THE MAN is worth a look dropping back in for a price here as he may land in a good spot near the front at the start. (1) THE POWER OF MANY should be good for a smaller share leaving from the inside here.
Race 9
(4) IM THE PIED PIPER was dynamite in his first start for Moreau last week; call to repeat. (1) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP was claimed by Auciello who adds Lasix here; beware. (9) BROCKS FORTUNE was a decent 2nd to the choice last time in his first start off the claim. He merits a look for the exotics here. (3) SURF REPORT is a good one to use underneath when making Tri and Super bets.
Race 10
(4) STONEBRIDGE PEACE faces an easier group here and he can take these all the way if he is rated better than he was last time. (7) LADY PING trotted a 28 flat second quarter trying to make the front, but she got hung out, yet still stayed for a slice. She can do much better here with an easier journey. (1) WINDSUN MISSILE gets a notable driver change here which makes him worth a look for the exotics, at least. (2) EXQUISITE GLIDE tries this level for the second straight week and he is another that is in the mix here. (10) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL rarely misses a check at this level and she should offer some value in the exotics starting from out there.
