Race 1
(1) HEY JOCK is a $400K Harrisburg purchase, by the top sire, out of the 1/2-sister to $913K earner Wheelin N Dealin. He looks ready to provide an instant return on investment; top call. (6) U S MARSHALL-bought for $45K at Lexington - is a full-brother to Treviso (10 wins in 17 starts, $255K, 1:53 1/5 m.) who also looks well-prepped for this debut; using. (4) ALARM DETECTOR comes off a sharp debut win and he may have to be caught here. (10) JOEY BATS can close in late for a slice at good odds.
Race 2
(6) JAN powered to an easy win last week and she looks good to repeat here. (1) LADY GRANDE couldn't keep pace with the choice late last time. A repeat exacta is likely here. (2) NURSE PIE Q looks next best in a race with few options. (4) CABOWABOCUTIE is a full-sister to solid local mare Bernadette. She can snag a share in her debut.
Race 3
(1) BARNEY MAC trotted home in 57 3/5 after breaking early in his debut. While the 1-hole is tricky for young trotters, if he can stay flat, he should be a top contender here. (7) NORTH AND SOUTH is the one to beat coming off a solid win in this class last time. (8) DELCREST HOLIDAY looks like the main speed threat; toss him in the Pick 5. (10) STORMONT VENTOR gets no favors from the post draw here, but he is worth including off his promising debut and he should be a square price.
Race 4
(3) NASTY RUMOR was on her way to a huge upset when she jumped it off in the stretch two starts back. With a clean line now under her belt, I'll take a swing on her for the upset here. (7) THORNE SEELSTER is the one to beat if she can reproduce her penultimate performance here. (5) BEACHES BE CRAZY couldn't last in her most recent, but she figures to take a share here, at least. (4) DELIGHTFUL SPACE has improved in her past two and she's worth a look here for the exotics.
Race 5
(1) WHEN YOU DANCE was a solid winner in his second start and he gets another decent post here; call to repeat. (7) BETTOR BB was live last week, but the pace didn't play out in his favor. He should be heard from here. (8) BRUNO FROM MARS was 2nd to the choice in a solid effort last time, but he draws outside again which likely means another small share for him. (2) POKERFACE BLUECHIP faces tougher shipping in, but he can make the ticket racing from close range.
Race 6
(5) TYMAL TINO showed some promise in his debut, now he moves to the middle of the gate for this first Grassroots try. Expect more aggression here. (1) LEADEROFTHEPACK blew up the tote board in his debut. He looks as good as any here; toss him in the Pick 4. (10) SPEED N GLIDE has the speed to overcome post 10 and he should offer a good price; using. (2) EDSTONE improved in start #2; he ca share here.
Race 7
(4) ST LADS NEPTUNE blew the tote board up in his debut out of town and he gets a positive driver change here; top call. (3) BARN ONE looks like the main threat coming off two solid starts to begin his career. (5) LEVIS DAY - a $37K Lexington buy - is by a sire and out of a dam both known for their blinding speed. Don't be shocked if Henry sends this colt off the gate. (2) DAM LUCKY can ride a good trip to a share here.
Race 8
(7) THE POWER OF MANY blew many of these away last week and while she will be a short price here, she is a solid bet to repeat. (8) MEGO MOSS goes back to Moreau, who had him for one start in May and one in July. In those starts, he beat the choice handily once and was a 1/2-length behind in 2nd in the other start. He is the main threat. (1) SWAN FOR DEE and (4) GIRL DRAMA look next best and should be used underneath in Tri and Super bets.
Race 9
(3) DUBIOUS CLAIM paced his back 1/2 in 53 4/5 without threatening last week, but he should get a better start here moving in several posts and he could upset at a decent price. (6) TOXICITY is the one to beat coming out of the same race as the choice and finishing a close second while powering home. (5) TUXEDO BAY made two moves in the same race then backed up late. He could be a threat here with a better trip. (1) ABSOLUTE INTENT is likely to close for a small slice here.
Race 10
(6) APHRO STAR took a new life's mark racing in this class last week. He should be tough to upend here. (7) MCSINNER MAN is worth a long look making his first start out of the Auciello barn off the claim. (9) OFORPETESAKE reversed tactics last time and he closed nicely for a share; consider for exotics. (2) TOP DESIRE should get a decent covered up trip here and take a share. (8) ROCKIN RONNIE draws worse this week, but he rarely misses the board and he could better this placing.
