Race 1
(6) BEACH GODDESS seems to have overcome her gait issues and she finds a good spot here following a promising debut; top call. (5) RINGING OF THE BELL fared much better two back on a dry track. She can rebound here. (1) B FIFTEEN finds a cozy spot, but she has missed 44 days. I would not take a short price here. (4) ROSE RUN SAMANTHA is worthy of Pick 5 consideration in this spot.
Race 2
(6) ALARM DETECTOR is clearly much the best of this bunch; Best Bet and Pick 5 single. (4) CANTABERNET should complete a very chalky exacta. (2) HEY JOCK has been third twice to the top two and that trend is likely to continue here. (1) SWEET TALKIN HALL should be able to grab a slice off a following trip.
Race 3
(9) NURSE PIE Q faces much easier here and she stands a good chance to score despite her post. (5) LADY BUBBLES is unbeaten in Grassroots company and she gets a good post here. She is a Pick 5 must-use for me. (1) LADY EVERLONG looks next best, but she likely won't threaten the top two. (3) VOULEZ HANOVER is a good on to use underneath in Tri and Super bets.
Race 4
(1) NO PANIC steps up off the claim following three solid first up efforts. She could pop right away in the new barn here. (7) HP PANDORA may get overbet here off her most recent improved effort, but she should be a factor. (10) P L JASMINE set the pace all the way last week during a driving rainstorm, which set things up perfectly for the pocket-sitter but she was still a clear 2nd. She is a factor here despite her post. (4) LUXURY VACATION should be able to sit a trip and grab a share again.
Race 5
(3) RENDEZVOUS HANOVER has trouble finishing some of her miles, but she may be able to give this field the slip, then coast home; nod. (8) PRINCESS JEWELS should contend here if she can stay flat this time. (4) COLOR ENVY raced much better last time and she picks up Macdonald here. She has a chance to upset. (9) PRETISSIMO is another that could improve dramatically if she stays flat.
Race 6
(6) ESCUELA trotted a winning race last time, but she was picked off late by a rival that swept the field. These aren't much tougher; nod. (7) THEE DESPERADO faced better last time and was drubbed. He could wake up big time in this spot. (8) HARPER BLUE CHIP went a long trip last time in a WDC race. He gets a positive driver change here and gets to try this class again; using. (4) SUMMIT CITY NATE is erratic, but capable of hitting the ticket if he stays trotting.
Race 7
(3) SHOWER PLAY has been beaten by the same tough foe twice straight but that rival lands in another division tonight, so she gets the nod. (8) NEON MOON comes off a dominating performance at Grand River and she is an obvious threat. (7) ASHLEES SPORT has fared well in both Grassroots starts and she too merits a look here. (5) LOVE KILLS can take a share racing from close range.
Race 8
(4) IOWA NEIGHTIVE lands in a good spot shipping in and he should be tough vs. these. (7) PRETTY HANDSOME is obviously one of the best in here, but he has missed 3 1/2 weeks which could leave him a bit short here. (1) WINDSUN SILVER improved sharply in his second start. He's worth a look here. (6) PINSTRIPE PRIDE can take a share here, but he needs more late speed to beat them all.
Race 9
(7) SIX BEFORE SEVEN had a tough trip last week racing in the rain and couldn't quite reach the winner late. He could get a better setup for his late charge here; slight nod. (5) LIVELY FREDDIE set solid splits to defeat the choice; he's the one to beat here. (8) THE BIG BEAST was third in the same race in a decent effort and he retains McNair; consider. (4) MCSINNER MAN can follow along and take another share here.
Race 10
(5) SAVANNAH SPLENDOR is sharp and goes for trainer Budd off the claim. He does well with these types; top call. (4) OUTLAW GUNPOWDER hasn't been in position to win in either start since returning to this track, but that is unlikely to last forever. Cullen should have him rolling late here. (10) INTENDED STYLE shoots for six straight wins but I will try to beat him from post 10 here. (8) ROCKABELLA should be closing late for at least a slice. (2) AMBLE OVER HANOVER is another good one to use on the bottom.
