Race 1
(4) NORTHERN STARLIGHT was no match for the tough Victor Gio It, who was prepping for some bigger races in his last start, but these are easier and she should be a major player here. (3) MYSTICAL MISSION wasn't beaten far by a promising first time starter last time. He is in the mix here. (9) MIAMI - a $90,000 Lexington buy - looks ready off his lone qualifier and he would be no surprise. (2) TAX SAVINGS can take a smaller share here facing tougher.
Race 2
(7) WHERE ARE WE has raced well in similar classes out of town using various racing styles. This isn't the toughest spot; slight nod. (3) BAD IN PARADISE races better when she saves her move for the last quarter. Maybe Roy drives her differently here, with a better result. (5) DORABELLA is another that ships in with good form that should be considered. (4) BAD AT REDHOT improved sharply on June 10th. She is worth a look off that mile.
Race 3
(10) AVUNCULAR trotted a fast mile at Hanover and had no problem clearing from the outermost post. He could take these a long way if he can clear to the front quickly. (6) NOTROUBLE DECHAFRA rarely wins, but he has improving form and gets a positive driver change here; using. (4) P C CANTORE ships in and gets a notable driver switch. This is the type Henry can upset with and he has been hot lately. (3) WHAT CAN I SAY should be put into action early here, which gives him a good chance to take a share.
Race 4
(3) ABBYDORNEY failed as chalk last time when he was out a long way and tired late. A better trip here can see him bouncing back. (9) JAYDENS PLACE took a mid-race shuffle after leaving hard for the front, but he did have late pace to offer. He is a top contender. (5) TREMENDOUS PLAY gets Filion here, which could mean a more aggressive steer. (8) FOUR FOR ORR has been impressive at Kawartha and veteran driver Gassien may try to bottom out the field with this improved gelding.
Race 5
(6) SOUTHWIND GENERAL was overmatched in the Somebeachsomewhere stakes, but he should be the one to beat facing easier; top call. (1) FACE OF WAR took a new life's mark with Henry driving last time. He's hard to leave off multi-race bets off that strong effort. (2) FIREBALL figures to get a better trip here stalking the speed. He can make the ticket. (4) ROCK THIS WAY is capable of an upset if a mid-race front end duel develops.
Race 6
(9) PURE KEMP faced the best on the continent regularly last year with mixed results. This is a big step down in company to start the year and she should be tough in here if she is ready. (6) R FIRST CLASS gets Filion and he has been solid in both tries to date; using. (2) MAGIC N SPICE looks best of the rest in a weak group. (1) LABERO could contend here if he could stay flat, but that has been his big issue so far.
Race 7
(5) STORMONT KATE made a rare miscue last time at Grand River. This is a fairly easy class for her and she could dominate these if she stays trotting. (9) ROYAL CHARM is capable of much better but she is almost always raced from the back, so it is hard to predict the kind of trip she might get. When she is fit, she has a lethal late kick, however, and it’s hard to leave her out. (2) NEILS GOLDEN GIRL is usually good for a smaller share racing at this level. (1) TORTOLA SUNRISE could trip-out near the front. He is a good one to use on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 8
(6) MAROMA BEACH parlayed a good trip into a lifetime best score last time, but based on the way he won there and his May 29 qualifier, it appears as though there could be more speed available from this colt; call to repeat. (1) WHO SAID NOT TO takes a big step down in class and he should be right there as the likely favorite. (2) HEZA BIG DEALER fits here, but he was also entered Tuesday, so it's hard to say if he will go here or not. (9) SAULSBROOK LANNY showed promise earlier this spring and he is another to consider, although post position does him no favors.
Race 9
(1) GIRL DRAMA returns to her favorite track and gets a short field, which should help her chances; slight nod. (7) MEGO MOSS was an easy winner last time Roy drove on May 12th. He could take these all the way if he stays flat. (4) THE POWER OF MANY should get a decent trip here starting from the middle of the gate and he is a good alternative to the top two if he is a decent price. (6) DOMINUM DEO is worth a look in for a tag for the first time.
Race 10
(8) CHIEF TALKALOT faces much easier here in for a tag. He should be tough racing on or near the lead. (6) IM THE PIED PIPER motored up late to win when dropped in for a tag. He is dangerous right back in the same class. (3) CUNDALINI rarely wins, but he is always around at the finish line. He should get a good trip near the front here and take a share. (9) HP BLACK SHADOW got hung the mile last time and was well beaten. His price will likely jump way up here and he could crash the exotics off an improved trip. (1) INTRIGUED INTENDED will be near the front early and he can stick around for one of the smaller shares.
