SPOT PLAYS: 2 - 4 / $12.80

Race 1

(5) STONEBRIDGE FABLE raced tough last week, only to be overtaken right on the wire by a rival that rode a covered-up inside trip to the lane. He can turn the tables here with a slightly easier trip. (3) OUTLAW GUNPOWDER was loaded with pace late when overtaking the choice, but that was partly due to him doing no work to the stretch. He is a contender, but also beatable. (6) CUNDALINI was nailed by both of the two above in the shadow of the wire. He will be a speed threat here again. (4) SPORTS VISION can pass a few of these down the lane to take another minor share.

Race 2

(6) AWOL HANOVER, who was a $180K Harrisburg buy for high-profile connections, showed some promise at age 2 and looks ready to get on track here in his sophomore debut; top call. (9) YO YO MASS finished strongly in his season’s debut. He appears to be the main threat to the choice. (5) LMC MASS GEM showed some potential at 2 and now he attracts Roy, who sticks here after driving him to a qualifying win. Don’t take this gelding lightly. (3) HOLIDAY STYLE will likely revert to closing tactics here and he can land in the Super or Tri.

Race 3

(4) ROYAL MACHERY was bet like a winner off a barn change last week and he controlled the race from start to finish. Facing similar here, he could double up. (1) A F F BIGDADDY has been raced aggressively the past two miles by Hudon with mixed results. Maybe he tries to trip-out in the choice’s pocket here? (3) OFORPETESAKE merits a look off some decent miles at Flamboro, but he may find the top two hard to beat. (6) SLY BARAN is again at a post disadvantage starting outside the choice. Another small share is likely.

Race 4

(7) BEYOMBO has raced in non-winners of three each time since breaking his maiden. Getting in with non-winners of two, he should be formidable. (4) DREAMFAIR B J looks ready to roll off a sharp qualifying win and he gets a good post to work with. He should be a threat here. (10) STEALTH BOMBER will likely get bet down again based on his breeding and reputation, but I will play to beat him racing from the 10-hole off a 17-day break. (8) KAZIMOTO steps up off a sharp maiden win. He will likely be closing from well back for a smaller share.

Race 5

(2) SOUTHWIND DIESEL showed good late speed in his qualifier, picks up driver Roy and adds Lasix for this 4-year-old debut. There are plenty of angles to like with this gelding. (7) UGOTTOBINITTOWINIT was coming fast at the wire last week – albeit off a covered trip. Still, he figures here and could get the job done if he can work out another good trip. (8) TWICE DRAFTED closed some ground in the back 1/2 of a quick mile last week. He should be able to take a share here. (3) THROWNOUTOFBETTER has a habit of taking smaller shares. That’s likely to continue.

Race 6

(1) THE POWER OF MANY fell victim to the leader cutting a middle half in a flat minute last week and he couldn’t reach him late. With that rival in post 10 here, the ball shifts to this mare’s court. (10) MEGO MOSS won for the first time in a couple of years when wiring the field and beating the choice. The trip should be tougher here, but a repeat isn’t impossible, either. (5) PILGRIMS ALL IN is worth a look off the claim with the form he brings from out of town. (9) GIRL DRAMA has been racing better, but this post likely relegates her to a minor award.

Race 7

(4) PRESCOTTS HOPE and (5) SPINFINITI have both seen better days, but dropping to the bottom conditioned class here off decent qualifiers, they should be the most prominent. Nod to the former who adds hopples here, which could solve his gait issues. (1) SHOCK N ROCK went too fast, too early last week and he paid the price. He is the most likely beneficiary if the top two falter. (3) PRINCE CLYDE could rebound with a better effort here after requalifying.

Race 8

(5) ROCKN OPIUM – a $27K Harrisburg sale purchase – made only one start last year and she experienced some gait issues. Her lone qualifier this year was good and trainer Young sends the young ones ready; slight nod. (6) HOMEGROWN HONEY exits the Weiss and will no doubt take lots of action here. She’s in with a good chance to break her maiden. (1) GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW – a $19K Forest City sale buy – has shown decent late speed in her qualifiers and this isn’t the toughest spot. She can close for a share. (9) BEACHES BE CRAZY raced much better last time out. She’s worth a look here despite starting farthest out.

Race 9

(6) RODEO SPORTS was put away after his third start last season, but he looks ready for her sophomore debut and trainer Coleman frequently gets immediate results with her young stock; top call. (5) WINDSUN GOTHAM comes off a sharp win over a wet track and he gets to face similar here; using. (7) IN SPADES has missed some time, but his swift last quarters put him in contention here if he is fit enough to produce one. (4) UNDRAFTED exits a quick mile where he finished on the edges. He can be closer here.

Race 10

(1) ROSELILY was sensational racing for her new barn last week despite missing some time and she retains Roy here; top call. (5) FADE is the obvious threat and she looks ready for a good sophomore debut, but the choice may be too sharp for her. (2) HOLD IT HANOVER took her time to chase down a stubborn leader last week, but she fired a quick final 1/4 to do it. She should make the Tri ticket here. (4) SPARKLE faces mostly younger. She can share if she stays flat. (9) CLEAR IDEA quite often shares and she’s a good one to use on the bottom.
