Ariana G is now seven-for-seven during her freshman campaign after a facile 1:54 victory over fellow Jimmy Takter trainee Thats All Moni in the C$363,000 Peaceful Way Stakes final for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack.

Driven by Yannick Gingras, Ariana G got away fifth while 99-1 shot Pure Kemp (Rick Zeron) took the group of ten to the opening quarter in 27 3/5. Thats All Moni (Tim Tetrick) took the lead past that marker, but Ariana G moved up to her outside and crossed over to take command just past the 56 1/5 half-mile marker.

Nobody offered an outside challenge to Ariana G around the final turn, allowing Gingras to get her to three-quarters in just 1:25 1/5, and she coasted home effortlessly through the lane to defeat Thats All Moni by 3 1/4 lengths. 99-1 Magic Presto (Trevor Henry) was up for third, followed by Winter Sweet Frost (Scott Zeron) and Cameron Hill (John Campbell).

"She's just incredible. Like I said last week, from the first time I trained her she's been a pure professional," said Gingras, who celebrated his first win in the Peaceful Way. "She feels like a 3-year-old filly; you can do whatever you want with her. It seemed like the move to make today was to move to the front. I was the one to beat, and I wanted to take my chance from there.

"She's very natural and drives with two fingers. There's nothing wrong with her. She's got the whole package."

Takter trains Ariana G, a daughter of Muscle Hill, for owners/breeders Al Libfeld and Marvin Katz. Ariana G, who has earned C$467,370 from her seven trips to the winner's circle, is out of the Cantab Hall mare Cantab It All ($286,412), making her a full sister to Hambletonian Oaks champion All The Time ($827,616). The 1-9 favorite, Ariana G paid $2.10 to win.
