Race 1
(1) SHAMBALLA has made a big statement in the past number of weeks on this circuit with numerous sub-1:50 wins. (2) ALEXIE MATTOSIE is a mere $6,700 away from the $1 million plateau. It may come in here. (9) THUNDER STEELER has been racing very consistent as of late, has excellent gate-speed and likely will offer a low price.

Race 2
(8) BISTROBISTRO TAJ has put together a solid campaign this season and will offer a short price in this rich final. (10) WING FLASH will need to overcome the outside, but has posted back-to-back wins leading up to this contest. (4) SUMMERS JEWEL comes from the Baillargeon barn and hasn't missed the board in eight starts this season.
Race 3
(4) MS MAC N CHEESE looks like the filly to beat after four straight wins at the Grassroots level. (3) OK HELLELUJAH draws inside and has hit the board in each of her last three starts. (10) RIDE AWAY SHARK gets Jamieson back in the bike and has some upside to her with her record this season. Expect a fair price.
Race 4
(4) DANA DEAREST draws inside, comes from the Coleman barn and has won eight of 15 starts this season. (7) HER OWN LAND comes from the Menary barn and has won four of her last five at the Grassroots level. (9) BET YA has been very consistent this season and is an obvious candidate for the triactor. She's versatile and just missed last week.
Race 5
(5) EL DIABLO HALL has won seven of nine starts this season and put forth a gritty gate-to-wire effort in his latest in a new career best. (9) FREDDIE has been much better in recent weeks for trainer Johnson and is coming into this dash in top form. (1) SNAPSHOT SPRINGS draws the rail, comes from the Reid barn and hasn't missed the board in five starts.
Race 6
(5) CHAMPAGNE PHIL draws well, drops in class and is due for a big effort. He gets major post relief and Nixon's barn has been excellent lately. (6) NICKLE BAG was a game second last week in this class and gets Jamieson in the bike. (10) TWIN B IMPRESSIVE will need to overcome post 10, but comes from the Moreau barn and should offer a nice price. He has gate-speed and moves up in class this week.
Race 7
(5) MYSTICAL WISHES has won three straight in this class and four of her last five. She's the filly to beat in here. (2) LENNY MAC comes from the McIntosh barn, draws inside and has won back-to-back Grassroots contests. (3) QUADROPHENIA comes from the Menary barn, draws well and has been a main threat in this division all season.
Race 8
(9) THINKOFAGAMEPLAN is the horse to beat in this division for obvious reasons. (1) STAR COVER has been much better in recent weeks for trainer Macintosh and the colt draws the rail and gets Jamieson. (6) TWIN B SCANDAL has hit the board in each of his last three and four of his last five. He draws well and enjoys racing off a helmet.
Race 9
(7) WARRAWEE PROMESSE tasted defeat last week, but had won four straight races prior. He's capable of a rebound effort and will offer a short price. (4) JACK LITTEN draws well and was a winner last week in the semi-finals for Team McNair. (6) KREMLIN has the other winner last week and comes from the Moreau barn. He once again may offer a fair price.
Race 10
(3) HIGH FLIER has been terrific in his last two and draws inside for the rich final. (7) ATOMIC MILLION AM has a terrific record this season and can't be overlooked in this dash. He's hit the board in 14 of 16 starts. (6) SHADOWBRIAND comes from the Darling barn and has all kinds of speed to offer. He's versatile and gets Saftic back aboard.
Race 11
(6) DUVOTO HANOVER just missed last week in this Preferred event, but won two straight prior. I'll try him again on top this week. (8) STATE TRESURER faltered last week as the heavy favourite and is very capable of a bounce-back effort. (4) PISTON BROKE draws inside and has finished third in each of his last three starts in this class.
Race 12
(1) MACH DREAMER draws inside, has all kinds of back class to offer and is overdue for his first win of the season. (3) SECRETSOFTHEKNIGHT draws well and has excellent gate-speed. He finished a game third last week and comes from the Moreau barn. (2) SUNNY BEACH DAY is known for his late kick and draws inside. He has the speed, but needs to be put into position turning for home. He's worth a look if the price is right.
