Race 1
(1) BLATANTLY BEST has been consistently good for the past month and he should sit a good trip here; slight nod. (5) MR WIGGLE PANTS has also turned his game up a few notches the past while and he should be the main speed threat here. (4) PAPARAZZI HANOVER steps up off a lifetime-best performance and while he will need a trip here, he could get it and pounce late. (2) ASAP HANOVER has come back in great form and he merits exotics consideration here.
Race 2
(5) PERCY BLUECHIP faces mostly the same field she beat last week and she likely keeps the ball rolling here with another win. (9) KISSIN IN THE SAND's first-over approach didn't work last week, so look for Gingras to blast and sit the choice's pocket; upset chance. (6) KENDALL SEELSTER is a solid bet to make the tri again here. (4) PLAY THE BELL gets a driver change to Miller here which could move her up.
Race 3
(1) MAKE SOME LUCK has been racing great for several weeks and he is sure to be a square price moving into the top class here. With a few of the better ones contesting the Canadian Pacing Derby tonight, I'll take a swing with him at a price in this Preferred. (7) EVENIN OF PLEASURE is the one to beat and he is sure to be sent hard off the gate. (6) FOOL ME ONCE rarely misses the board and he should share here racing from close range. (3) JINS SHARK steps up off a solid win and he has upset in this class more than once previously; consider.
Race 4
(7) MAGNUM J sat back last time, and missing the board then means he can drop into this easier class. Look for an aggressive steer this time. (4) TRACEUR HANOVER set a pace that was just too fast last week and he paid the price late. Moving off the 10-hole gives him a better chance here. (2) PHYSICALLYINCLINED gets Vanderkemp here following two starts where his owner took him for a spin; beware. (8) DOVUTO HANOVER is gritty and tough and he is always a threat at this level.
Race 5
(7) STAY HUNGRY unleashed an impressive late kick in his debut and while he gets thrown to the Grand Circuit wolves here, he could be this good. I'll give him the nod. (1) ODDS ON LAUDERDALE couldn't last racing first up last week. Zeron should be able to find cover this time, which makes him dangerous. (4) CALIFORNIA CRUISIN missed 22 days between starts last week and the rust showed. He is min the picture here returning much quicker. (5) TRUMP THAT is consistent and he could easily better this placing in a contentious dash.
Race 6
(9) LINDY THE GREAT improved sharply in his second start and he should be a major player right back in this Grand Circuit trot. (4) INTERNATIONAL MONI is obviously one of the best in here and a Pick 4 must-use, but he is worth trying to beat here at his probable odds-on price. (2) R FIRST CLASS tuned up for this with a solid score over elders on Tuesday night. He is an interesting possibility here. (11) BILLS MAN gets Miller here and there is some speed in front of him so the 11-hole may work out for him.
Race 7
(2) KEYSTONE VELOCITY produced a 25 1/5 final 1/4 with ease in his elimination for this edition of the Canadian Pacing Derby. He should prove hard to beat here. (1) MCWICKED also finished quickly and he should be in closer range this time. He has an upset chance here. (4) ROCKIN RON set solid splits throughout his elimination and easily paced a 1:47 2/5 mile. He is the one to catch, but he is likely to get more challenges early and late. (6) ALL BETS OFF is a good one to use underneath here.
Race 8
(4) SPORTS COLUMN tuned up with a race on the lead vs. elders, which if he repeated it here, would be good enough to beat these sophomores; top call. (7) NASCAR SEELSTER is sharp, dangerous and he will likely offer a square price; using. (5) SAULSBROOK LANNY is a good closer to toss in tri and super bets. (9) MACH DEJA VU has ripped off two impressive wins in a row, but he may not get the trip he needs here.
Race 9
(9) TWIN B TUFFENUFF was way too far back last week to make an impact on the leaders, but he did show late interest and he could upset here if he is a bit closer at the 3/4. (1) SUMMER TRAVEL is the obvious pick here, but it remains to be seen how missing close to a month will affect him. (2) NUTCRACKER SWEET is another contender that has also missed some time, but he can hit the board. (7) HUDSON PHIL consistently tries hard. He can make the ticket here.
Race 10
(7) CLASSIC PRO tuned up for this with a race vs. elders. He is a big threat to lead throughout here. (5) BILLS FELLA races better from off the pace and he is a solid play to complete the exacta. (4) RED JOHN flew home to win last week. He is in with an upset chance here. (1) ARESNAL SEELSTER didn't fare well racing first-over last time but that was against elders and if he trips out here, he could pop at a big price.
Race 11
(7) SOME ATTITUDE already beat non-winners of four two starts back, now he faces non-winners of three; top call. (1) BETTORS DREAM showed some life last time. He could be a lot closer here and may be a decent price. (8) PENZANCE HANOVER is in great form, but post does him no favors here. (6) PASSPORT TO ART has improved in his last two. He can share here, too.
Race 12
(1) PRESCOTTS HOPE couldn't hold off the tough Jins Shark and a tripped-out Fine Diamond in deep stretch last time, but he stands a good chance to bounce back here. (3) THINK ON IT is the main threat considering how well he has raced since he came back from a break. (5) HES A SENSATION - still 0 for 2017 - is a great bet to finish in-the-money again. (2) BEAST MODE can be closer early here which should mean he makes the ticket. (8) MOHAWK WARRIOR often finishes on the fringes and he likely will here, too.
